21st – 29th April, 2012 (inclusive)<br />
DAY ONE - SATURDAY 21ST.<br />
Fly to (YGRL) Lakes Entrance. Arrive at Great Lakes<br />
Aerodrome and make your way to Number One The<br />
Esplanade, your home for the next three nights.<br />
We all meet for Happy Hour then enjoy a nice 2<br />
course dinner whilst enjoying the views of the<br />
Cunningham Arm.<br />
DAY FOUR - TUESDAY 24th<br />
DAY TWO - SUNDAY 22nd<br />
Breakfast then a Free Day in Lakes Entrance, visiting<br />
the surf beach, stroll the Esplanade or taking a walk<br />
out to the Entrance. Church Service times available<br />
at Reception. Treat yourself to fish and chips at the<br />
old Ferry or sit on the grass and eat them out of the<br />
paper as we used to do. Dinner tonight is at one of<br />
the local restaurants. (Dinner at own cost)<br />
Breakfast at the motel, then make our way to the<br />
airfield to fly to Traralgon (Latrobe Valley Airfield)<br />
before travelling by coach to Thompson Station<br />
where we board the train to travel in style to<br />
Walhalla Station. Train will depart @ 11.40am and<br />
arrives at Walhalla @ 12.15pm where we are then<br />
picked up by Coach and taken into Walhalla.<br />
Lunch is at the Walhalla Star Hotel for gourmet pies<br />
and salad. Then we step back in time as we visit the<br />
beautiful township of Walhalla before meeting for<br />
Happy Hour then to enjoy a three course Dinner at<br />
Parkers Restaurant. Accommodation is at the Star<br />
Hotel and Valhalla House.<br />
DAY THREE - MONDAY 23rd<br />
Today we board the coach after we have enjoyed a<br />
nice cooked breakfast. Today we travel east along<br />
the Princes Highway to Marlo via Orbost.<br />
Cruise down the Snowy River on the Paddle Steamer<br />
Curlip 2 then lunch at the Marlo Pub.<br />
Departing Marlo we will have a wine tasting at the<br />
award winning Nicholson Winery before returning to<br />
Lakes Entrance for dinner at the Ferryman Floating<br />
Restaurant. (Dinner at own cost)<br />
DAY FIVE - WEDNESDAY 25th (Anzac Day).<br />
The early birds can join the Dawn Anzac Service in<br />
Walhalla. After a continental breakfast at the Star<br />
Hotel we return by Coach to Traralgon and time<br />
permitting and subject to approval as it is Anzac<br />
Day, visit Gipps Aero for a tour of the home of the<br />
GA8 Airvan that is made locally. Travel to Traralgon<br />
Airfield before flying to Mallacoota.<br />

DAY SIX – THURSDAY 26TH<br />
The time in Mallacoota is free time.<br />
Available activities are: Golfing, Fishing, Visit World<br />
War II Museum Bunker and Lake <strong>Trip</strong> on the motor<br />
vessel Lockhard. You are invited to evening drinks<br />
and seafood at the Russell home, 34 Brady Street,<br />
Mallacoota.<br />
DAY SEVEN – FRIDAY 27th<br />
the estate which includes the Hotel’s own private<br />
beach. After lunch we continue onto the Killer<br />
Whale Museum in Eden. Here we will be treated to<br />
a guided tour which will take us through the<br />
exhibitions and local history of the museum which<br />
has been established for over 80 years.<br />
The afternoon takes us to Pambula where we will<br />
have afternoon tea at the famous Oaklands Nursery.<br />
This place is a favourite among tourists and locals<br />
for not only its delicious food and coffee but the<br />
vast array of plants, antiques and collectables on<br />
offer as well as art and other knick knacks.<br />
Afterwards we board the coach for our return<br />
journey, arriving back at the accommodation in the<br />
late afternoon. All entry fees and tour guiding<br />
included. Dinner will be own responsibility.<br />
DAY NINE – SUNDAY 29th.<br />
Picked up by coach and taken to the Merimbula<br />
Airport for departure.<br />
Fly to Merimbula. Picked up at Merimbula Airport<br />
and taken to Merimbula’s <strong>Coast</strong> Resort – one<br />
bedroom pool view apartments. Rest of day free.<br />
• All meals will be your own responsibility.<br />
DAY EIGHT – SATURDAY 28th<br />
We will be picked up from the resort at 9.00am and<br />
depart Merimbula bright and early where we will<br />
head for the Eden Chip Mill, located in Twofold Bay.<br />
This mill was Australia’s first mill and today we<br />
enjoy a tour of the site which involves the reasons<br />
why the mill is so important to our economy and the<br />
history surrounding it. We will also enjoy morning<br />
tea before departing the chip mill. Our journey<br />
continues to the historic Ben Boyd Tower which was<br />
built in 1847. Originally designed as a lighthouse,<br />
this tower overlooks magnificent views of the bay<br />
and beyond. Enjoy some leisure time and soak up<br />
the relaxing atmosphere.<br />
Lunch will be served at the Seahorse Inn which is a<br />
luxurious boutique Hotel located on Twofold Bay.<br />
Enjoy an array of local produce including seafood<br />
before relaxing with a drink or taking a stroll around<br />
