Dear industry colleagues,
On behalf of the advisory board and Shell, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 2012
Deep Offshore Technology International Conference & Exhibition. DOT has been running annually
now for more than thirty years and I am confident that this year’s conference will live up to the
reputation for excellence in technical insights and thought-provoking panel discussions built by all of
the conferences that have come before us.
This year the advisory board has distilled the many great abstracts received down to 54 fantastic
papers for three parallel technology sessions covering floating systems, subsea processing and
deepwater drilling systems as well as the development case studies which we all look forward to
learning from. We also have panel discussions on deepwater projects, floating LNG systems, asset
integrity and process safety management which will stimulate some great discussion. I am sure that
there will be something there for everyone in our industry, from those who have just joined through
to the most experienced.
On top of that there will be exhibitors representing some of the industry’s best technology providers
plus the opportunity to meet with colleagues, partners and competitors from around the world. All
of this in Australia, one of the strongest growing and most vibrant regions
in the oil and gas industry today.
