Flying the DSG flag
DSG recently exhibited at the
Farnborough International
Airshow, to raise its profile
and take advantage of the
opportunities presented by
the global aerospace market
to create and build future
business.
The show is the biggest, most
internationally attended aerospace event
in the world with a globally renowned
showcase of aerospace equipment and
technology. 2008 heralded the 60th
anniversary of the show at Farnborough,
although the seeds of the Airshow were
first planted way back in 1918 when it was
first held at Olympia.
Representing DSG, Geraint Spearing,
Head of Electronics & Components, Ian
Cole, Head of Business Development and
Dave Edmunds, Head of Large Aircraft,
attended the exhibition with their
respective teams. The show attracted
some 140,000 business visitors, 1,500
exhibitors and a 5% increase in
attendance compared to 2006.

DSG had its stand located in Hall 4 at
the show, which included industry
exhibitors such as SELEX Galileo, EADS,
GE Aviation, QinetiQ and Vector
Aerospace. The event provided a shop
window for DSG to communicate its new
brand within the Aerospace Sector, and to
enhance its network of relationships with
both MoD and industry partners,
customers and suppliers.
The DSG teams attending the show
took the opportunity to meet a large
number of our aerospace partners and
customers including key members of
DE&S, BAE SYSTEMS, GE Aviation,
Lockheed Martin and EADS UK as well as
fellow Total Support Services (TSS)
partners Thales and SELEX-Galileo. The
show also provided us with an
opportunity to meet with customers who
attended Farnborough from our Land and
Maritime environment, to further develop
our relationships with key industry
stakeholders.
