’44 Ruth Taylor Hood and husband,<br />
Frank, celebrated their 66th wedding<br />
anniversary on June 29. <strong>The</strong>y celebrated<br />
with their eight children, seventeen<br />
grandchildren, and eight greatgrandchildren.<br />
’45 Anna King Kielek announces the<br />
arrival <strong>of</strong> four new great grandchildren<br />
to her family last year.<br />
’51 Mary Loeffler Sobczynski<br />
and her husband celebrated their 56 th<br />
wedding anniversary on September 10,<br />
2011.<br />
’56 Sister Marise (Barbara) May,<br />
OSF celebrated her Golden Jubilee as a<br />
Sister <strong>of</strong> St. Francis in Syracuse, NY<br />
’59 Miriam Wancowicz Clark,<br />
hand-appliqued and quilted a blanket<br />
in honor <strong>of</strong> the bicentennial celebration<br />
<strong>of</strong> the War <strong>of</strong> 1812. <strong>The</strong> quilt can<br />
be seen at the Maryland Historical<br />
Society located at 201 West Monument<br />
Street, <strong>Baltimore</strong>, MD 21201.<br />
’60 R. Kathleen McDonough<br />
Perini and her husband celebrated<br />
50 years <strong>of</strong> marriage. She has two<br />
grandsons who recently graduated<br />
from North Hagerstown <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />
in Hagerstown, MD. That makes<br />
four grandchildren in college with six<br />
more grandchildren to go! Andrew C.<br />
Perini graduated with high honors and<br />
will attend Massachusetts Art (Mass<br />
Art) in Boston on a full scholarship<br />
for Art. Peter E. Perini, Jr. graduated<br />
with highest honors in the International<br />
Baccalaureate Program with an IB<br />
diploma and is a member <strong>of</strong> the National<br />
Honor Society. He received four<br />
scholarships from universities and<br />
is going to University <strong>of</strong> Maryland,<br />
College Park, MD. Her other two<br />
grandchildren are Patrick C. Perini,<br />
who attends University <strong>of</strong> Pittsburgh<br />
in Pittsburgh, PA, and Meredith A.<br />
Perini, who attends Pennsylvania State<br />
University in State College, PA.<br />
’65 Sandy Michno Petri was<br />
elected vice president <strong>of</strong> the Alumnae<br />
Association.<br />
’68 Barbara Skotarski Ferrara<br />
was elected president <strong>of</strong> the Alumnae<br />
Association.<br />
’69 Virginia Etter recently<br />
returned to school and earned<br />
a bachelor <strong>of</strong> science degree in<br />
elementary education in English/<br />
language arts from Grand Canyon<br />
University. She graduated Summa<br />
Cum Laude in December 2011. Ginny<br />
presently works for Charles County<br />
Public <strong>School</strong>s, Maryland, and will be<br />
assigned her first teaching job for the<br />
2012-13 <strong>School</strong> Year.<br />
’77 Rosemarie McCubbin<br />
Olszewski is proud to announce<br />
the birth <strong>of</strong> her second grandchild,<br />
Hailey Jo Gilbert. Hailey was born<br />
on January 2, 2012 at 6:06 a.m. and<br />
weighed 6 lbs 3 oz. Proud cousins are<br />
