INMOTION modular system

A highly fl exible and customisable system of
sofas and sectionals. The project’s origin lies
in the juxtaposition of signs: the combination
of the thin frame with large-sized cushions,
the structural stiffness and the soft elegance
of upholstery, the coexistence of a perfect
symmetry of the bases with the natural
unbalance of soft sections.
The system features a different modularity of
the armrests: tall and long, tall and short, low
and long or low and short. The system can be
used either in a symmetrical or asymmetrical
way.
Frame
The supporting structure is made of a 3 cm
thick MD belted wood fi breboard (supported
by a metal framework) with tapered and
bevelled profi le.
Powder-coated in the following colours: matt
white, or matt anthracite grey. The special
varnishing process ensures a better resistance
than a standard lacquering. The surface of the
frame in some sectionals can be used as a
shelf and/or coffee table.
Filling in non-deformable variable density
polyether and polyester wadding; cushions
with a completely removable upholstery.
Backrests and armrests feature an inner frame
in solid wood.
Sectionals
They allow to develop numerous linear or
corner lay-outs. All of the modules feature
recessed internal legs so that the frame linear
design is not interrupted. With sectionals, a
special coupling device is provided.
Sectionals cannot be used individually.
Cover
The fabric or leather upholstery of the cushions
has been designed to enhance their softness.
The collection features an aesthetic seam with
contrast stitching.
A new typology of storage units that
represents a 3D innovation making a visual
and functional use of the side section as well
as the front one. Usually, the storage unit side
view is never considered in terms of utilization
but for juxtaposition. The system consists
either of column units, base units, stackable
or hanging units.
Featuring large-sized compartments, divided
in a functional way to receive and organise
everyday objects, books, magazines or
electronic equipment.
The system’s fl exibility is considerable:
swivel modules, with drawers or large drawers,
with fl ip opening door, stackable sectionals
or sectionals to be fl anked, free-standing or
wall-mounted.
The elements can be highly customised: the
open compartments as well as the rotary units
may feature different materials and/or colours
and can be newly varied by the customer even
after their purchase.
Typologies
All of the units are made of medium-density
wood fi breboard (1.6 cm thick), varnished in
matt white, 48 cm deep. They are divided into
two main categories:
- column storage units with doors, 185.5 cm
high, with a 2.5 cm plinth and adjustable small
feet available in the following lenghts: 34, 45,
53 cm. Column storage units with rotary units
are reversible vertically.
- low ground-resting storage units (base unit),
32 cm high with a 2.5 cm plinth and adjustable
small feet; available in the following lenghts 53,
85, 144, 203 cm.
- low stackable storage units, 32 cm high with
a 1.6 cm spacer;
- low hanging storage units, 32 cm high, in
length 53, 85, 144 cm; equipped with a kit for
wall mounting.
Finishes
Units are always varnished in matt white; only
open compartments and rotary compartments
are available in the following options:
- matt white, green, orange, blue, sand, ivory,
yellow and anthracite grey
- natural wood* and natural grey wood*
- frosted glass
*Multilaminar wood composed of veneers based on precious
woods such as ayous, poplar and lime.
The special manufacturing process allows to highlight the
typical features of wood-types through creative aesthetic and
customised fi gures. Environmentally-friendly and fully made
of woods coming from forests and plantations managed
following sustainability standards.
Technological innovation within a thorough and
minimal design. Sofas with a mainly domestic
seat: a simple, rigorous and essential design
that incorporates a mechanism of the latest
generation that allows for a highly precise
electronic adjustment of both the backrest and
the seat, independent of each other.
The armrest features a pronounced design
of the silhouette: the shell is very thin next
to the seat, then it grows larger in the
supporting section, accommodating inside it a
comfortable upholstery.
Frame
Filled with varnished metal supporting
structure, upholstery in variable density
expanded polyurethane and cover in polyester
wadding.
H 15 cm leg with sled base in aluminium diecasting
in polished aluminium fi nish or painted
in the following colours: matt white or matt
anthracite grey.
Available in three sizes, with low backrest H68
or high backrest H80, fi xed or movable.
Adjustable backrest and seat.
An innovative electrically-controlled system
allows to tilt the backrest and to increase
the seat to adapt it to different comfort
requirements. Height-adjustable backrest to
- 7cm (-10°), while the seat can be adjusted to
increase its depth up to +15 cm.
The system consists of an electric motor (24
V, 50W, CE compliant), a battery (lithium ions
1180 mAh, CE compliant), a transformermotor
control unit (230 V, 50Hz, 5W CE
compliant) and a cordless radiofrequency
remote control (2.4 GHz, CE compliant).
It works with a rechargeable battery.
Voltage: 220V (Europe) and 110 V (Usa).
While ordering, please always specify which
voltage is required.
Cover
The upholstery covers every part of the sofa
and is completely removable.
Accessory cushions
Dedicated 55x55 cushions with remote control
pocket. Made in polyether and fabric or leather
cover. Removable.
Unstructured version of the Wave wall system
that allows to develop different compositions,
that are more restrained and rarefi ed, with
few elements thus making the system
more transverse within the house. Visual
and functional features remain unaltered,
maintaining the design and dynamic nature of
the original product.
Shelving units
Shelves are made of white acrylic solid
surface, 9 mm thick.
Some shelves feature a change of depth
(35/25 and 25/15 cm) connected through a
sinuous and smart design.
Sizes and typologies:
- L85, L90 and L180 cm rectangular-shaped
shelving units, 15, 25 or 35 cm deep
- L85, L90 cm profi led (Left and Right) shelving
units with variable depth, 15/25 and 35/25 cm.
- L 180 cm profi led (Left and Right) shelving
units with variable depth, 35/25 cm.
- L 180 cm profi led shelving unit with variable
depth, 25/35/25 cm.
They are also available in the electrifi ed
versions: two shelving units (11.8 cm high),
equipped with rear hollow space for cable
passage and concealing. In the shelf’s
upper section, you fi nd an opening for cable
management made of the same material of the
shelf, to enable the cable outlet towards every
possible appliance. Sizes and typologies:
- L 180 cm profi led electrifi ed shelving unit with
variable depth 25/35/25 cm
- L 180 cm rectangular-shaped electrifi ed
shelving unit, 35 cm deep.
Storage units
Made of white acrylic solid surface, available in
the following options: with door, two drawers
or a large drawer:
- L35 D35 H35 cm square-shaped large
drawers
- L90 D35 H35 cm rectangular-shaped large
drawers.
The door is made of white varnished
aluminium plate; drawers, with acrylic front,
are equipped with opening push and pull
mechanism.
All of the units are wall-fi xed through an
expressly designed aluminium foil.
Electrifi ed shelving units are wall-fi xed by
means of special brackets to ensure a solid TV
support.
A family of seatings of great image and
comfort.
Designed for the home, the offi ce and
community areas.
The stackable frame which can be combined
with three shell options makes this chair
fl exible and functional to any ambience.
Frame
The frame, characterized by a trapezoidal
section, is entirely made of aluminium
through die-casting and extrusion.
Available also with arms.
Matt lacquered in white, black, light grey and
anthracite grey, chrome-plated, or polished
aluminium
Shell options:
- wooden shell in curved wood, lacquered in
bleached or wenge-stained oak, in natural
wood and natural grey wood.
- 3D-upholstered shell: an inner countershell
in curved wood with polyurethane padding,
upholstered in the fabric options Manila, Londra
and Cambridge, and characterized by a peculiar
three-dimensional pattern.
- stretched upholstered shell: an inner
countershell in curved wood with polyurethane
padding.
The shell is upholstered in the fabric options
Manila, Cambridge, Liverpool, Londra, or in
leather.
- mesh shell.
