AEC Matador Wrecker - Southdown
The AEC Matador Wrecker, used extensively as a WWII
workhorse, found its way into the ownership of many
commercial operators in civilian life. Southdown may have
used the vehicle for ‘rescuing’ broken down buses and coaches
from their fleet. Decorated here in the characteristic green
and cream of this popular south coast company, the truck is
registered JNG 641 and also features the red and white trade
plate 340 PX and ‘towing’ plate. The flatbed planking is

Tricycle Van - Gas and Coke Service
Dating from the 1930s, the Tricycle Van was seen on general
service duties right into the 1950s. This unusual livery
advertising its use as a Gas and Coke Service van is in bright
red and a vanilla cream colour, simply decorated with a

Scammell Pioneer Recovery Tractor - Traylen’s Fun Fair
Aptly named ‘Incredible Hulk’, this Showmans Scammell Pioneer
is a scaled down monster of a truck with all the detail minutely
reproduced. Highly colourful in dark green, cream and red,
additional colour has been added with a wealth of dropped
shadow lettering and artwork. Advertising the Traylen’s
Fun Fair, this Pioneer of Traylen’s Amusements is
registered THX 764F, based in Feltham, Middlesex and
the corresponding coat of arms/crest is proudly
emblazoned on the sides of the bonnet. The heavyduty
recovery vehicle features its crane and hook
mechanism on the back and together with its
chunky wheels, is all ready for action in its

Showman fraternity and this Oxford release is based on a
vehicle used by P &V McIntyre from Kent, complete with

New tooling brings the Scania Highline version of this
very modern horsebox in the striking two tone
colour scheme of metallic champagne and maroon.
Note particularly the cleverly reproduced leaping horse
on the rear sides. Replica glass roof lights feature all

Dennis RS Fire Engine - Dublin Auxiliary Fire Service
The newly tooled Oxford 1:76 scale version of the
Dennis RS was launched in Issue 159. The second
release sees the model in the distinctive Irish Civil
Defence livery as used by the Dublin Auxiliary Fire
Service. In real life, this purpose built fire appliance
with reinforced all-steel cab was introduced and
used extensively in the late 1970s and although
production ceased in the 1990s, you can still see
the RS in use today by some fire authorities.
Our colourful model is very high on detail with a
wealth of equally decorative masking operations,
making for a realistic replica. Note the fine black lines
etched into the shutters, the masked hose reels, the rear chevron
detail and the AFS crest on the sides, all creating extra realism.

The warmer weather sees the popular camper vans back on the road
as enthusiasts take to the great outdoors. The VW T25 dating from
the 1980s came in a variety of colour schemes and this latest Oxford
model, registered CGH 866T, is painted in pale creamy yellow and
comes with the joker high-top roof with Joker logo. Black

An eye-catching green body with light green roof makes for
a very bright addition to the Oxford T25 bus series.
In real life, the T3 VW transporter (or Type 25) was the
successor to the T2 and came with a few more refinements.
When it first came out, the T25 still incorporated an air
cooled engine but later models progressed to water cooling.
The vehicle was manufactured in Germany from 1979 to
1992 and was the last of the rear engined Volkswagens.
The T3 was also produced under licence in South Africa
from 1990 but purely for that market and featuring an Audi
5-cylinder engine. Production there lasted as late as 2002.

Scammell Pioneer Recovery Tractor - RAF
It’s back to a military livery for this latest version of the Scammell
Pioneer, which was used extensively through WWII, particularly
as a recovery vehicle. After the conflict, the vehicle proved
the workhorse for general heavy haulage duties as well.

Morris J2 - RAF
The Morris Commercial J2 was a small, forward control van which
the Morris Commercial subsidiary of BMC launched in 1956. It was
produced until 1967 and marketed as both the Morris J2 and the
Austin J2. The Oxford tooling provides for both these variants.
Our latest livery is a military one, as used by the RAF, decorated in
the signature RAF blue-grey and registered 99 AR 59, which will
appeal to post-war die-cast collectors of militaria. In service in
Germany, the words RAFG RHEIN are printed in
Morris J2 - RAF NEW white on the front. The Union Flag features on
SCALE PRICE the left hand side wing in front of the door, while

Land Rover Series 1 80 inch
Hard Top - RAC
The Land Rover, launched in 1948, was an
instant success and an essential vehicle for
users in an off road or rural environment.
Its ability to function under all conditions
made it a prime vehicle for such
organisations as the RAC who used it
extensively. The 80 inch description refers
to the chassis, the other being the 88 inch,
already in the Oxford range.
Our latest livery comes in the
familiar traditional dark blue and
white RAC Road Service colour
