15 Q It dealt with the -- Synanon, for example,
16 would isolate people for days, weeks, months at a
17 time?
18 A No.
19 Q Didn't they isolate them for long periods of
20 time from their outside -- you know, from their
21 regular contacts?
22 A They absorbed them into what was at that
23 point a community of individuals that verged on
24 2,000 members. They lived in a, many of them, in
