the Apostles. For those who are interested in becoming
Defining Our Faith
Incarnation: The word "Incarnation" refers to the Second
Person of the Trinity taking upon a human nature in the
person of Jesus Christ. This is the great mystery of God
becoming one of us, which is echoed in the Angelus prayer
when we say, "The Word became flesh, and dwelt among
us." It is this unfathomable truth, the birth of Our Lord,
which we celebrate at Christmas.
