Gold Coast
... a vibrant outdoor cultural lifestyle
ABOUT THE GOLD COAST
Universally acclaimed as one of the most desirable places to live on planet earth. Imagine 40 kilometres of pristine surfing
beaches, World Heritage rainforest and a casual outdoors lifestyle. A mosaic of leisure pursuits includes kayaking, surfing,
team sports, scuba diving, windsurfing, beach activities and hiking to name just a few. Don’t forget the world-class theme
parks, modern shopping centres endless places to eat and watch the world go by with your new friends.
The Gold Coast is Australia’s premier business and tourism destination with a vibrant interaction between lifestyle,
general commerce, and green, clean industries, including education, information technology, luxury boat
manufacturing, film and Television production and tourism. You will feel right at home in our culturally diverse
community with a homestay family you may find difficult to leave.
With all this, consider 300 days of sunshine, a big blue sky, fresh air and a picture perfect azure ocean. Plus, the climate is
as warm as the welcome you’ll receive when you choose to study on the Gold Coast. There’s simply no other place like it!
Student experience
I like the Gold Coast because it has many shops,
beaches and cafes. The beaches are bigger and
more beautiful than I imagined.
My family belongs to the surf lifeclub so I am
lucky to go to the beach almost every weekend –
this is new for me because in Korea I didn’t go to
the beach.
I feel more relaxed now than when I was in Seoul.
My parents are happy because I am studying
hard, but I am also having fun.
The Gold Coast is smaller than Seoul, but there
is also lots to do in my free time.
