Nick’s Notes
A fantastic effort from the lads on Saturday and even though the game was very
tight with limited chances Id think it is fair to say that we edged it. The two chances
we created in the last 10 minutes were probably the best of the game and
their keeper must take huge credit for his team still being in the hat for Monday
and earning a replay on Tuesday. The game unfortunately never passed without
us having a couple of casualties and George Crimmen and Ollie Bankole will be
huge doubts to be fit in time for Tuesday. This will stretch my squad and show
the strength we have in depth currently and with the timely addition to our playmaker
Jake Beecroft returning from work Commitments, this will give us a huge
boost. We find ourselves unbeaten now in 6 with one loss at home in 12 and
stretching back to mid-January and we will need to be at our very best to beat
the Met and progress to the next round. Again I want to thank the supporters who
made up 75% of the crowd on Saturday and sung their hearts out for the lads, it
really does make a difference.
