Sampler Saturday is all about making a commitment every
Saturday to meet new women by giving out samplers and
asking for their name and opinion on the sampler. Here is a
GREAT script to use:
Walk up and say: “My name is __________________, and I’m a
Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and today is Sampler Saturday.
Every Saturday, I sample new Mary Kay product to 30 people
that I meet. This week’s product is _____________ (hand cream).
Put out your hand (squirt). Doesn’t it feel great?? Then say: I’m
doing a drawing of all the women who were a
part of my Sampler Saturday. You could win
free products and a free facial….“ Hand her
your card and gather her information!!

tips to help you...
Get Unstuck This Year
1. Stop thinking you are fragile.
Test your abilities. The more you assert
control over your career, the stronger you
will become!
2. Eliminate “wish”, “hope”, and
“maybe” from your vocabulary. Instead of
saying, “I hope things get better” say, “I will
make things better.” Make a decision and
then make it happen.
3. Stop worrying about the obstacles. The
best antidote for anxiety is action! Stop
worrying about how you are going to solve
everything, and just take the first step. If you
are looking for solutions instead of
bemoaning the problem, the solutions will
present themselves to you as you go.
4. Do away with ambivalence. Are you doing
what you want with you career? If not, then
do something about it. You are not a
victim…take a stand for what you believe in
and be willing to risk a little.
5. Choose a dream and start making it a
reality. Once you start achieving small
steps towards your goals, you’ll feel like a
winner and act like a winner. Don’t try to eat
a whole elephant in one giant gulp, but don’t
sit there and just stare at it either. Get going
and take the first tiny bite.
6. Wing it sometimes! You don’t always
have to have a complete plan and “know
everything” to begin. Follow your intuition
sometimes. Play a bunch. Trust your
instincts, and you’ll find that the little inner
voice becomes easier and easier to bear.
7. Stop procrastinating. Putting off things
is a habit that can be changed. Use your 6
most important things list everyday. Take joy
in crossing off the things you’ve accomplished.
Items that remain, become
tomorrow’s list.
8. Let go of old labels you’ve used to
describe yourself. Stop making excuses
for why you haven’t succeeded. Try some
new positive affirmations. Up until today,
you were what you were. From now on you
can choose to be the same, or you can
choose to change.
9. Conquer your fear of failure. This is
nothing more than worrying about what
other people think of you. Who cares? Do it
for you. If you feel good about it, what
does it matter what others think?
10. Learn to cope with fatigue. Your
energy level is directly related to your
attitude and your finances. You aren’t tired,
you’re broke! Learn discipline in your business
and master balances in your life. Mary
Kay is supposed to be fun, but success
requires hard work. When you work, work
hard. When you play, play hard. Wherever
you are, be there!

“Hi Susan, I’ve got something new I’d love to get your opinion on. Mary Kay has a brand new
mascara and a new brush unlike any of the other formulas. Why don’t you get some friends
together and we’ll have a “Lash Love Party” where we can pick everyone’s perfect mascara while
playing with color? Then I’ll show you how to get thicker-looking lashes!”
Party Prep:
1. Print out the Lash Love Party placemat that showcases the whole wardrobe of fabulous
mascaras. You may want to have them laminated.
2. While you’re on Party Central, consider also printing the Color Checklist through the FedEx
Docstore.
3. Send the Lash Love Party Beaute-Vite®.
4. Consider sending guests a link to the The Look E-Catalog on your Mary Kay ® Personal Web
Site.
At the Party:
1. Set up a “Mascara Bar” that features the wardrobe of mascaras. Be sure to include samplers.
2. Provide a Lash Love Party placemat for each guest.
3. Walk guests through all of the mascara formulas; focusing on the benefits and the look that
each creates.
4. Once guests have chosen their favorite, allow them to play with the fabulous Mary Kay® color
product samplers and talk about how to get perfect brows using the Mary Kay® Brow Tools
5. Talk to guests about how to build their lashes and brows with the MK Lash & Brow Building
Serum and condition lashes with the new MK Lash Primer.

Party Punch! Serves 40
* 3 (3 ounce) packages fruit flavored gelatin mix
* 4 cups white sugar
* 13 cups boiling water
* 2 (46 fluid ounce) cans pineapple juice
* 1 (16 ounce) bottle lemon juice concentrate
* 2 (2 liter) bottles ginger ale, chilled
1.In a large bowl, combine gelatin and sugar. Stir
in boiling water until mixture is dissolved. Stir in
pineapple juice and lemon juice concentrate.
Divide into 2 containers, and freeze until solid.
2.To serve, place gelatin mixture in punch bowl,
and chop into pieces. Pour in ginger ale.
