Buteline PB-1 Pipe
Polybutene-1 (PB-1) is not a hybrid material, and was specifically developed for use with hot and cold
potable water. Buteline Polybutene-1 pipe can withstand high temperatures and pressures, and complies
with the AS/NZS 4020 Food Grade Standard.

Superior strength (40% stronger than PE-X, and almost double the strength of PP-R and PE- RT, as
published in ISO9080 evaluation of PE-RT)

Buteline also have available an extensive range of fittings and clearly identifiable
coloured pipe with WaterMark approval as part of our Recycled Water (lilac) and
Rainwater (green) systems.

The same easy installation process (see back page) applies, and no accidental
cross-connection is possible with existing potable water supply as the Buteline
Recycled Water and Rainwater systems are a different size (20mm).

1. Cut the pipe with the
Buteline pipe cutter.
2. Insert the pipe into the Buteline
fitting. Ensure you push the pipe
all the way (15mm) into the
shoulder of the fitting.

firmly for around 2 seconds

* When burying Buteline fittings

prevent corrosion.
