ICM Vertical fall arrest system 

• For the ICM Vertical fall arrest wire system 

• The fall arrester is for 8mm stainless or galvanized wire 

• The system may be used by up to three people 

simultaneously, provided the top bracket can withstand 

a minimum load of 36 kN

Descend and rescue equipment 

ICM-ArSiMa has a wide range of equipment available, both different 

types and different brands. The equipment can be supplied in kits to 

suit a specific application. If it is to be an emergency equipment in the 

nacelle of a wind turbine, and only be used on the day the need arises, 

then the equipment can be supplied in a special 10 year service-free 

packaging (only requires visual inspection of the packaging). 

General features on descend unit (no hoist) 

• For evacuation at height where one or more persons must be brought 

into safety at a lower point 

• Can easily be used by less experienced people to evacuate, but 

advanced rescue requires certified training by a rescue instructor 

• Continuous descent speed via built-in centrifugal break; descend may 

at any time be stopped and continued 

• Rope runs both ways and therefore comes with snap hook at both 

ends; the hook at the end of the rope going down is to be connected 

to the harness of the user or a special rescue harness 

• Static kern mantel rope to be ordered at requested descent length;
