“Everything we gain comes from what
we give.”
—St. Theresa of Avila
At St. Sebastian’s, we encourage one another to give our hearts to the Lord and to
give freely and fully of our time, our talent, and our treasure as learners, as teachers,
and as servants of the truth. For our efforts, we gain the richest gifts of grace
and knowledge and wisdom and faith and hope and love. How richly blessed we are to be
united as members of the St. Sebastian’s family!
In this year of Trust, we are seeking and finding new ways to strengthen the bonds that tie
us. In so doing, we are articulating and advancing our most important mission in so many
powerfully beautiful ways.
We hope that you will enjoy perusing our “new look” publication, which has been
designed by Tim Foley ’83. You will note that we have focused particular attention on science,
as we are launching major initiatives in this area. Our next building project will produce a
state of the art Science Center and renovated classroom space. Science and every one of our
academic disciplines will benefit more greatly than I can say. I look forward to sharing details
of our plans as they unfold.
I thank you for all that you do for your School, and I urge you to stay close to us and to
visit whenever you can.
May 2010 be the best year of your lives – until next year. May God continue to bless you
and your families every sacred step of the way.
Sincerely,
