GT1000 FULL TURBINE KIT for R35 GT-R R35(GT-R)<br />

HKS is challenging for the high performance concept of HKS R35 GT<br />

series. And we have set the goal of 1000 horse power with GT1000! For the<br />

extream power and performance, the GT800 design of "symmetrical layout"<br />

has succeeded to the new GT1000.<br />

Features<br />

●GT1000 has succeeded ideal design of "symmetrical layout" of GT800.<br />

And HKS has tuned-up and newly designed in all little detail for precision,<br />

strength and heat-persistence. The new GT1000 provides effective boost<br />

control and prevents from exhaust loss.<br />

●For effective intake and exhaust flow, HKS has newly redesigned original<br />

suction pipe and chamber pipe for the new GT1000.<br />

●Our proven technology "heat-resistence cast" was employed in exhaust<br />

manifold which provides high resistance in the heat and vibration.<br />

●GT Ⅱ is employed for wastegate of GT1000 which is very small and light<br />

and still has secure boost control.<br />

CAPACITY <strong>UP</strong>GRADE KIT for R35 GT-R R35(GT-R)<br />

HKS has developed upgrade kit for R35 GT-R for some more power! People who<br />

are not satisfied with 800+ and want more power on R35, this is the kit you need.<br />

We have made it for a longer stroke to gain on the lower RPM for the big turbine.<br />

So you can have absolute power even on the normal RPM. This high-end, made in<br />

Japan products of piston, conrod and crankshaft are made by billet method.<br />

Features<br />

◆Piston Kit<br />

・HKS were insistent on forging, we employed billet method from forged bar material.<br />

・ We have employed special truss shape with our test and strength analysis for a extreme power.<br />

・The perfect shape of very short height low friction type gives light weight and strength. They<br />

are 80g lighter compared to the stock and STEP1/STEP2 piston.<br />

◆Connecting rod<br />

・Being a longer stroke, we have developed original conrod. For modification work of engine side is needed only<br />

at the block oil return.<br />

◆Crankshaft stroke<br />

・Billet method form forged bar material.<br />

・HKS special shape that came from our profound racing experience analysis on V6 balance.<br />

・For better friction we have employed special edge for counter weight.<br />

・We have designed counter weight for the perfect shape for a perfect balance!<br />

The intercooler is very important for forced induction tuning<br />

and HKS has developed new big type for GT1000 full turbine kit.<br />

●We have designed the intercooler for best balance of leftright<br />

bank cooling and pipe layout for the same as vertical<br />

flow stock design. The core front surface is maximum<br />

size as stock type layout. And the thickness of core is<br />

100mm(stock=65mm) which provides less air flow pressure<br />

loss for the 1000ps.<br />

●We have designed the intercooler layout design to be<br />

installed with the stock air guide (need some work). The air<br />

came in from the open bumper is all flowed into the core for<br />

the maximum cooling efficiency.<br />

◆Precaution for installation<br />

・Need separate Intercooler piping kit(13002-<br />

AN003) for installation.<br />

・Need to do the radiator air guide and<br />

intercooler air guide modification.<br />

・Use hand nutter for installation work.<br />

・Installation time will be about 1 to 2 days.<br />

3sx Muffler<br />

It's always challenge to acquire both quietness and high output<br />

for automobile. HKS S<strong>UP</strong>ER TURBO MUFFLER gives both of<br />

these things by incising inner slit in the tip and straight design<br />

with silencer. And to comply for turbo upgraded for R35 GT-<br />

R, we have developed changeover valve system muffler. So<br />

depending on the exhaust flow, the flow channel can be changed<br />

to give more power and cool exhaust sound.<br />

Open the valve and widen<br />

the exhaust area<br />

2 valves in front and 2 valves in the back operated by<br />

electric motor. The valves are connected to the motor<br />

with cables and special unit controls the motor.<br />

In the automatic mode, the valves are opened or closed<br />

by the RPM or automobile speed. For low RPM(Stage<br />

1), all the valves are closed which provides quiet sound.<br />

For mid RPM(Stage 2), only the back valves are open<br />

for both power and quietness is provided. And finally for<br />

high RPM(Stage 3), all the valves are open for the most<br />

power. Also the manual mode let you open all the valves.<br />

INTERCOOLER KIT(Ductless)for GT-R R35<br />

Intercooler kit without air duct is available for NISSAN GT-R R35.<br />

Best for light-tuned vehicles and reasonable tuning.<br />

Features ◆Cooling Performance<br />

◆Lightweight<br />

Cooling performance of the stock intercooler is good enough for the stock engine; however, it is not<br />

enough when the boost pressure is increased to 120kPa (GT570 kit or GT600 kit). With the stock<br />

intercooler, it cannot prevent sharp rise of the temperature at the turbo outlet. (These kits cause the<br />

airflow of the turbine to the upper limit so the stock I/C core capacity is insufficient.) To improve<br />

cooling performance, core's capacity must be increased; however, our in-house test result showed<br />

major performance improvement would not be seen even if the core size was little larger.<br />

HKS provides the intercooler kit with two thin and larger cores (400x 260x65) that allow significant<br />

cooling performance achievement.<br />

Weight of the intercooler is reduced, and overhung weight can be reduced as well.(Stock: 9.6kg / HKS: 8.0kg)<br />

◆Pressure Loss<br />

Thinner cores may raises concerns of increase of pressure loss; however, the unique inner fin design can<br />

minimize the pressure loss increase.<br />

◆Water Temperature Maintenance<br />

Enlarging the core size may interrupt air flow to the radiator that may also increase water temperature.<br />

HKS intercooler's thin core can increase air flow speed to the radiator. When in-house tests were<br />

conducted in Sendai Highland and Fuji International Speedway by a professional racing driver, the test<br />

result showed that the water temperature was raised as same as the stock.<br />

◆Compression Ratio for an NA engine is increased!<br />

The t0.5 type (SC installable) for an NA engine was designed to increase the compression ratio compared to a stock gasket<br />

as well as seal durability. Also, it is thinner than a stock. It is the best to use for one make race with an NA engine.<br />

Compression ratio of the gasket for an NA engine is ε12.6. Its thickness is t0.5. (Stock compression ratio is ε12.5 and<br />

thickness is t0.6.)<br />

◆600ps D1 spec is reproduced for a supercharged engine!<br />

The t0.7 type (for an engine equipped with a large SC) utilizes a stopper higher than the stock gasket to provide higher<br />

bore seal durability. It is designed to be endurable against 600ps engine power. Compression ratio was reduced only<br />

t0.7 so high heat efficiency can be maintained.<br />

Compression ratio of the gasket for a supercharged engine is ε12.4. Its thickness is t0.7. (Stock compression ratio is ε<br />

12.5 and thickness is t0.6.)<br />

◆Contact surface pressure is improved!<br />

Special coating was applied on the head side and<br />

cylinder side to improve sealing performance when<br />

tightening the bolts.<br />

◆Bore seal pressure was confirmed<br />

in figures.<br />

*The oil temperature of a vehicle without the<br />

oil cooler reached 130℃ in the fifth minute;<br />

the vehicle had to be stopped to cool the<br />

About the exclusion of Super Fire Racing plug to some BMW vehicles<br />

On the web, the Super Fire Racing M-XL series are compliant<br />

for BMW but the plug hole for engine side is very small and<br />

Round 3 in AUTOPOLIS<br />

Report<br />

The "HKS RACING PERFORMER 86" debuted at SUZUKA<br />

circuit and we were able to leave a good result which is the fifth<br />

place. However, the machine was still under development and<br />

we challenged at high speed course of Autopolis as similar to<br />

the SUZUKA, with significant brush up of weight reduction and<br />

controlling system.<br />

We were qualified for exemption and the attack was from the final round (single free-running). The first<br />

run, Taniguchi entered the corner at high speed which was great, but when he made the turn, the angle was<br />

a little deeper that he made an half-spin. And if he doesn’t make the second run right he will be out of the<br />

tournament. So the second run Taniguchi slightly reduced speed to keep the balance which was not really an<br />

aggressive drive and so he got into ninth place and advanced tournament.<br />

The road surface condition changed every minute for the tournament. The first round became a battle with<br />

Suenaga (N) for a dry condition. HKS 86 has already set for rain but Taniguchi drifted awesome on both first<br />

and second run and become the best 8.<br />

After this race the weather suddenly changed to a heavy rain. So Taniguchi with high control and high<br />

accuracy driving skill and the wet compliant suspension setting helped him drive two runs without mistake,<br />

won over his opponent and advanced to the best 4.<br />

Around this time the weather got so bad, there were winds and thunderstorm. So after a brief intermission,<br />

the race restarted with unpredictable road condition. Even with Taniguchi’s skill, he couldn’t control the<br />

machine in such a weather and spun off and let Kubo defeat him.<br />

For 3rd place match, Taniguchi and his opponent Sakuma drifted without a mistake. And for rematch<br />
