• APSC 122 presentation<br />

− Jenny Kagetsu asked if any ECSAC members would be interested in attending the<br />

upcoming APSC 122 presentation to first year <strong>Engineering</strong> students on <strong>March</strong> 22,<br />

<strong>2008</strong>. There were two volunteers; Steve Wagner MECH and Kelly Ng MECH).<br />

• Statistical update – Handout provided<br />

− No comments<br />

− ECSAC members can email Wendy Lock if they would like statistics for their<br />

disciplines.<br />

• Strategic Plan update<br />

− Admin only retreat – April 24 th , <strong>2008</strong><br />

− Staff (admin & coordinator) retreat – April 25 th , <strong>2008</strong><br />

• Director message<br />

− An email update to be sent out as an attachment<br />

• Year End report to be release at the end of April <strong>2008</strong>.<br />

• <strong>Co</strong>mmunications plan<br />

− Formally written with 3 simple objectives (Staff/Employers/Students)<br />

− To increase employer and faculty awareness of program.<br />

− No Alumni section; to add in next year.


Ashita Anand – <strong>Co</strong>mputer <strong>Engineering</strong> <strong>Co</strong>-<strong>op</strong> Student<br />

• Ashita Anand was hired by the <strong>Engineering</strong> <strong>Co</strong>-<strong>op</strong> office for her Winter <strong>2008</strong> work term.<br />

Her project this term was to create a new resume builder for ECO.<br />

• A brief presentation and demonstration was given by Ashita on the new functions and look<br />

of the new resume builder. The launch date will be May 1 st , <strong>2008</strong>.<br />

• ECSAC was asked to test the new resume builder when ready. Information will be sent to<br />

the members once it is available.<br />

• Graduation reception update<br />

− The 2007 <strong>Engineering</strong> <strong>Co</strong>-<strong>op</strong> reception was held on <strong>March</strong> 6 th , <strong>2008</strong> at the Vancouver<br />

Marriott Pinnacle Hotel for a 6-<strong>Co</strong>urse tasting menu. There were 136 of 224<br />

graduating co-<strong>op</strong> students, 62 employers and 13 faculty members. There was a total<br />

of $15,200 in table sponsorship.<br />

• Sponsorship drive<br />

− 2007/08 sponsorship drive was quite different than last year’s. A directed letter was<br />

sent to 112 employers.<br />
