The very compact R <strong>095</strong> <strong>thermoforming</strong> <strong>packaging</strong> <strong>machine</strong> packs products of any type<br />

automatically, hygienically and economically. The R <strong>095</strong> is designed to process flexible films,<br />

and incorporates MULTIVAC’s groundbreaking hygienic design, technology and quality<br />

standards.<br />

The R <strong>095</strong> sets the standard in its segment of the market, particularly in respect to<br />

The advantages of the R <strong>095</strong> <strong>thermoforming</strong> <strong>packaging</strong> <strong>machine</strong> include:<br />

Application<br />

Thermoform <strong>packaging</strong><br />

The <strong>thermoforming</strong> <strong>packaging</strong> process is a particularly efficient and<br />

reliable <strong>packaging</strong> solution. A single <strong>packaging</strong> <strong>machine</strong> performs the<br />

production, filling and sealing of packs automatically, while the processes<br />

remain safe, precisely controllable and economical.<br />

The most suitable <strong>packaging</strong> materials for optimum use in thermoform<br />

<strong>packaging</strong> are flexible films on reels. The upper web can be blank or<br />

provided with continuous printing. For the processing of a register<br />

printed web, a register mark control is available as an optional extra.<br />

MULTIVAC‘s proven forming and sealing technology guarantees the<br />

precise formation of the packs as well as the safe and secure sealing<br />

of the <strong>packaging</strong> material. This is ensured by a precise <strong>thermoforming</strong><br />

process, as well as high sealing pressures and precisely determinable<br />

sealing temperatures.<br />

The economical use of inert gases in the production of MAP<br />

<strong>packaging</strong> is a further advantage of MULTIVAC‘s thermoform<br />

<strong>packaging</strong> technology.<br />

Thermoform <strong>packaging</strong> in limited spaces<br />

In the R <strong>095</strong>, we have combined our consistent MULTIVAC hygienic design with leading<br />

control technology, making these <strong>machine</strong> standards available for very compact thermoform<br />

<strong>packaging</strong> solutions. The space saving <strong>machine</strong> concept, with an internally housed forming<br />

die, permits the utilization of a large infeed line, even though the entire length of the<br />

<strong>machine</strong> is only 2.30 m.<br />

Due to a quick-changing insertion system, format changes are particularly simple and easy to<br />

perform on the R <strong>095</strong>.<br />

Advantages<br />

MULTIVAC hygienic design<br />

MULTIVAC <strong>packaging</strong> <strong>machine</strong>s are designed to meet the highest hygienic<br />

standards. Hygienic design and high quality materials ensure consistent and<br />

quick cleaning. The smooth, bevelled external surfaces – without recesses,<br />

corners and edges – are easy to clean. The interior of the <strong>machine</strong> has also<br />

been optimized for hygiene, especially in critical components such as the<br />

transport chain, the chain guide and all drive systems. Easy-to-open side<br />

panels and removable protective covers ensure that the full interior of the<br />

<strong>machine</strong> is perfectly accessible for cleaning.<br />

IPC control with HMI 2.0 user interface<br />

The graphically displayed HMI 2.0 user interface on a large touch screen<br />

enables the intuitive and safe operation of the R <strong>095</strong>. A program memory of<br />

more than 200 recipes and a choice of over 40 operating languages ensure<br />

reproducible <strong>packaging</strong> quality, even for less experienced operators.<br />

A wide variety of help functions with animations and video clips support<br />

operators in their daily work. Access to the different user levels is password<br />

protected.<br />

Die quick-changing system<br />

The quick-changing insertion system makes changing between different<br />

<strong>packaging</strong> formats simple and easy to perform. After removing the side<br />

panel of the forming die or the protective cover of the sealing tool, the<br />

corresponding insertion, after releasing a lock mechanism, can easily be<br />

moved sideways out of the die and changed. With very little effort, the<br />

R <strong>095</strong> is once again ready for production.<br />

Energy efficiency<br />

Components that are relevant to energy consumption, such as the film<br />

transport system, central lifting unit and cutting units, have been equipped<br />

with energy-efficient electric drives on the R <strong>095</strong>.<br />

The cooling water circuit of the R <strong>095</strong> can be equipped with a water-recooling<br />

device, as an option. In which event, the R <strong>095</strong> does not require a fresh<br />

water connection.<br />

Variability with 12 basic formats<br />

There are 12 basic formats with various subdivisions available for the R <strong>095</strong> <strong>thermoforming</strong><br />

<strong>packaging</strong> <strong>machine</strong>. These cover the spectrum of commercially available flexible film<br />

<strong>packaging</strong>. The quick-changing insertion system makes format changes simple and easy<br />

to perform.<br />

Integration of slicers<br />

The R <strong>095</strong> can be optionally equipped with an interface for the integration of BIZERBA<br />

A 400 series slicers. The R <strong>095</strong> can thereby be expanded into a very compact,<br />

automatic slicing line.<br />

Integration of labelling and inspection systems<br />

For labelling and marking functions, the R <strong>095</strong> can be equipped with a MULTIVAC<br />

P 20 stamp printing system. The <strong>machine</strong> control of the MULTIVAC line elements,<br />

such as belt systems, conveyor belt labellers, metal detectors, etc., can be directly<br />

integrated into the IPC control of the R <strong>095</strong>. The synchronization of line modules by<br />

other manufacturers is also possible, due to the open <strong>machine</strong> control architecture.<br />
