The very compact R 095 thermoforming packaging machine packs products of any type
automatically, hygienically and economically. The R 095 is designed to process flexible films,
and incorporates MULTIVAC’s groundbreaking hygienic design, technology and quality
standards.

The R 095 sets the standard in its segment of the market, particularly in respect to
packaging quality, ease of cleaning and process reliability.
The advantages of the R 095 thermoforming packaging machine include:

Application
Thermoform packaging
The thermoforming packaging process is a particularly efficient and
reliable packaging solution. A single packaging machine performs the
production, filling and sealing of packs automatically, while the processes
remain safe, precisely controllable and economical.
The most suitable packaging materials for optimum use in thermoform
packaging are flexible films on reels. The upper web can be blank or
provided with continuous printing. For the processing of a register
printed web, a register mark control is available as an optional extra.
MULTIVAC‘s proven forming and sealing technology guarantees the
precise formation of the packs as well as the safe and secure sealing
of the packaging material. This is ensured by a precise thermoforming
process, as well as high sealing pressures and precisely determinable
sealing temperatures.
The economical use of inert gases in the production of MAP
packaging is a further advantage of MULTIVAC‘s thermoform
packaging technology.

In the R 095, we have combined our consistent MULTIVAC hygienic design with leading
control technology, making these machine standards available for very compact thermoform
packaging solutions. The space saving machine concept, with an internally housed forming
die, permits the utilization of a large infeed line, even though the entire length of the
machine is only 2.30 m.
Due to a quick-changing insertion system, format changes are particularly simple and easy to
perform on the R 095.

Advantages
MULTIVAC hygienic design
MULTIVAC packaging machines are designed to meet the highest hygienic
standards. Hygienic design and high quality materials ensure consistent and
quick cleaning. The smooth, bevelled external surfaces – without recesses,
corners and edges – are easy to clean. The interior of the machine has also
been optimized for hygiene, especially in critical components such as the
transport chain, the chain guide and all drive systems. Easy-to-open side
panels and removable protective covers ensure that the full interior of the
machine is perfectly accessible for cleaning.
IPC control with HMI 2.0 user interface
The graphically displayed HMI 2.0 user interface on a large touch screen
enables the intuitive and safe operation of the R 095. A program memory of
more than 200 recipes and a choice of over 40 operating languages ensure
reproducible packaging quality, even for less experienced operators.
A wide variety of help functions with animations and video clips support
operators in their daily work. Access to the different user levels is password
protected.
Die quick-changing system
The quick-changing insertion system makes changing between different
packaging formats simple and easy to perform. After removing the side
panel of the forming die or the protective cover of the sealing tool, the
corresponding insertion, after releasing a lock mechanism, can easily be
moved sideways out of the die and changed. With very little effort, the
R 095 is once again ready for production.
Energy efficiency
Components that are relevant to energy consumption, such as the film
transport system, central lifting unit and cutting units, have been equipped
with energy-efficient electric drives on the R 095.
The cooling water circuit of the R 095 can be equipped with a water-recooling
device, as an option. In which event, the R 095 does not require a fresh
water connection.

Advantages
Variability with 12 basic formats
There are 12 basic formats with various subdivisions available for the R 095 thermoforming
packaging machine. These cover the spectrum of commercially available flexible film
packaging. The quick-changing insertion system makes format changes simple and easy
to perform.
Integration of slicers
The R 095 can be optionally equipped with an interface for the integration of BIZERBA
A 400 series slicers. The R 095 can thereby be expanded into a very compact,
automatic slicing line.
Integration of labelling and inspection systems
For labelling and marking functions, the R 095 can be equipped with a MULTIVAC
P 20 stamp printing system. The machine control of the MULTIVAC line elements,
such as belt systems, conveyor belt labellers, metal detectors, etc., can be directly
integrated into the IPC control of the R 095. The synchronization of line modules by
other manufacturers is also possible, due to the open machine control architecture.
