Shopping
OPPORTUNITIES
Whether in search of that
special gift, or simply window
shopping while strolling through
the AlpineVillage, Gaylord’s
downtown shopping district
offers unique specialty shop
with Swiss flavor. Storefronts
feature architecture composed
of spires and shake shingles
creating a feeling of shopping in
Gaylord’s sister city, Pontresina,
Switzerland. Unique, friendly
stores make it easy to find something
that says Gaylord.
Stroll among the many specialty
shops in search of the
perfect souvenir. Pop into a local
clothier to pick up the latest fashions
for the beach, or something
to remind you of that special trip
to Gaylord. Check out shops for
the latest in sporting goods or
camping equipment, or simply
meander through the charming
business district, which is
accented by street lamps, full
hanging flower baskets and inviting
benches.
Leisurely shoppers may want
to savor a delicious meal in one
of the many restaurants or cafés
downtown. Others may want
to sample exquisite treats from
downtown candy, ice cream and
coffee shops.
Project Parkway, a distinct
park on Main Street, offers a
pleasant spot to recharge amid
the bustle of downtown. A brick
walkway winds through the
parkway.
The 450,000-square-foot
EdelweissVillage Shopping
Center just west of I-75 at M-32
and EdelweissVillage Parkway
is anchored by aWal-Mart
Supercenter and other nationally-known
A 116,000-foot Alpine
Crossing retail development on
M-32 west of Gaylord is located
next to Kohl’s department store,
and houses an Old Navy store
and an OfficeMax, and later this
year T.J. Max.
Meijer Inc. opened a 156,000-
square-foot store and gas station
in April 2009 across from Kohl’s
at the southwest corner of M-
32 and South Townline Road in
Gaylord.
