AFD Selection Program<br />
The Desoutter AFD selection<br />
program is a drilling and tapping<br />
selection program based on the<br />
data used in the AFD Selection<br />
Handbook using cutting tools from<br />
Dormer <strong>Tools</strong> (Sheffield) Ltd.<br />
The program allows you the user to<br />
select Auto Feed Drills or Tappers<br />
for applications where the following<br />
parameters are available:<br />
Hole diameter or thread size<br />
Hole or thread depth<br />
Thread pitch (tapping only)<br />
Number of holes<br />
Material to be drilled or tapped<br />
Blind or through hole (tapping<br />
only)<br />
A tool can be selected together with<br />
accessories and a hard copy printed<br />
displaying the calculated values,<br />
application parameters and part<br />
numbers selected.<br />
All the screens are Windows based<br />
and the program is to be used with<br />
Windows 95 on an IBM PC or 100%<br />
compatible running a 486DX<br />
processor at 33MHz with over 4<br />
Mbytes of RAM.<br />
