defense. Clay Hertel added 14 points. Jake Singer and De Ewin had 11 and 10 points<br />
respectively. Later in the week, the team also defeated St. Andrew’s - Sewanee 68-38.<br />
Clay Hertel scored 24 points to the lead the scoring followed by De Ewin with 17 and<br />
Joshua Joy with 14.<br />
High School students celebrated Coming Home last Friday night.<br />

Coming Home King.<br />
It was a busy week for the Middle School boys basketball varsity<br />
team with a tough match up against FRA on Monday followed by<br />
a tough battle Friday against Ezell-Harding that went back and<br />
forth the whole game. The Wildcats were victorious with Tyler<br />
Thompson leading all scorers. Not to be outdone on Saturday, the<br />
Winterfest activities started the day but the real action came<br />
against a very good Davidson team. DCA's stingy defense and<br />
timely scoring led to a huge win on Homecoming Day. Billy Creger led the scoring<br />
with 14 points, followed by Ethan Johnson with 8. Grant Baxter and Tyler Thompson<br />
both had 6 points each. Creger and Baxter had 2 blocks each to seal the game. Later in<br />
the week, the Cats also defeated Poplar Grove 64-42. Tyler Thompson had 32 points,<br />
Ethan Johnson with 12, Logan Roberts with 8, Travis Reaves with 6 and Nick Erhart<br />
with 4. Robert Hatter and Jake Sweeney both played very solid defense with a couple<br />
of steals each.<br />
Courtney Graves (Class of 2000) teaches kindergarten at Ruby Major Elementary School<br />
in Hermitage, Tennessee. She was recently chosen as the 2012 Teacher of the Year!<br />
Courtney received her Bachelors degree in<br />
Communications in 2003 and her Masters of<br />
Education in 2007, both from Trevecca<br />
Nazarene University.<br />
Jordan Graves (Class of 2008) graduated from<br />
the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a<br />
degree in Wildlife Management in May of<br />
2012. He recently accepted a position with the<br />
Alabama Cooperative Extension System as a<br />
Regional Extension Agent of Forestry, Wildlife<br />
and Natural Resources for the Wiregrass Region of Southeast Alabama. Jordan will be<br />
moving to Troy, Alabama to begin his new career.
