Work is ongoing on a number
of schemes being taken in
charge by West Cork County
Council. It is hoped that these
contracts will be completed
by the end of the year.

A number of schemes are
also carrying out minor
upgrades including the
Derricreveen GWS.
Upgrades are now complete
on Cappanalea and
Inchfoildaun GWS.
Limerick
Civil works have commenced
on treatment plants
across the bundle and are
progressing well. DBO
advance works are ongoing
on most schemes also.
Pipeline contracts are complete
on Lough Gur,
Caherline/Newtown and
Granagh and are almost complete
on Kilfinny GWS.

Process proving is almost
complete on schemes in the
first group within the DBO
bundle. This group includes
Glenstal, Bulgaden, Croagh
and Kileedy. These were
amongst the schemes to complete
the Performance
Management System course
on 6 July.

PMS training for the second
group of 9 schemes is to take
place on Wednesday, 25
October. Schemes are strongly
advised to take part.
Kerry
Many Kerry schemes are currently
upgrading prior to
being taken in charge or connecting
to the public mains.
Of the GWS that are remaining
private, upgrades are
almost complete on an intake
pipe and access road for
Bonane GWS. Work is ongoing
on a pipeline replacement
on Tuosist GWS. Tenders are
currently being evaluated for
a treatment plant for the
scheme. It is hoped that the
upgraded treatment works at
Kells GWS will be operational
in the coming months.
