Flat Glass
40 years of experience in plant
engineering and construction for
the manufacturing of glass. From
the glass ribbon (“Cold End”) via
the stacked single sheet to the
glass warehouse – Grenzebach sets
standards for the flat glass industry.
The prime functions of our
production lines are measuring,
classifying, optimizing, cutting,
snapping, conveying, and stacking.
Float glass, coated glass, laminated
glass, structuredor wire glass and
other special types of glass are
manufactured on Grenzebach lines
– all over the world.
Solar
Our many years of experience
with glass are incorporated into
production lines for solar panels.
We specialise in planning and
implementing of auto mated front
and back end lines – including
feeding and assembly techniques,
accumulators, robot and inspection

Gypsum
Grenzebach delivers turn-key
manufacturing lines for gypsum
plasterboards – from the analysis of
the raw material in our own laboratory
to the finished wallboard. Our
turn-key scope includes buildings,
infrastructure and logistics. Safety in
operation, low operating costs and
optimum energy efficiency combined
with the highest quality standards
characterize all our equipment.
Mineral wool
Grenzebach: Expertise and technology
from the raw material feed
via the cupola furnace, spinner,
collecting drum, pendulum, curing
oven, sawing units and packing to
the finished thermal insulation board
of rockwool or glass wool.
Cement fiber
We supply complete handling systems
as well as cutting, coating
and autoclave lines for cement
fibre board – from unfinished board
stacking through to the packing line.
Robust, operator-friendly technology
with a high automation level is a
characteristic of our equipment.
Wood
More than 4000 Grenzebach dryers
are in use world wide providing
smooth and gentle production of
furniture and plywood veneers.
Accurate slicing machines ensure
that the decorative veneers keep
their smoothness and suppleness
during the optimized drying process.
The Grenzebach portfolio includes
a scanner as well as high-speed

mixing, heating and cooling – as well
as technology for sterilization, drying
and calcination of special products.

Grenzebach Algoscan
Algoscan surface inspection systems
are mainly used in the online quality
inspection of continuously produced
materials – such as glass, film, foils,
paper and steel. However, these
systems are also implemented for
the surface inspection of high-quality
piece goods, for example, PV and
solar modules or in the automotive
industry. Line-scan cameras or laser
scanners are used to detect even
tiny material defects in the µm
range or for inline measuring
of profiles/roughness of surfaces.
Even at high manufacturing speeds
of up to several hundred meters
per minute, our systems provide
complete analysis of the material
surface. Thus we ensure total
quality monitoring and feedback
throughout our customers’ production
processes.

LJu Automatisierungstechnik
LJU Automatisierungstechnik GmbH
are specialist suppliers of innovative
control system solutions for conveyor
equipment in the automotive industry,
for logistics companies and in the
beverage industry. LJU products
are found in the control systems of
electric monorail conveyors. These
systems have either – single or
multiple drives and can include –
inductive energy, data transfer
sys tems, position detection and
evaluation. For energy supply LJU
relies on inductive energy transfer for
automated guided vehicles, which are
also part of Grenzebach product lines.

Automated Baggage Loading
Grenzebach – as the world’s sole
provider– offers a field-proven system
for the automatic, robot-guided
loading of airline baggage into
containers and onto ramp carts
for international airports.
Flight simulator
Grenzebach has created the first
robot-based flight simulator
(FlightSim). It is waiting to receive
the approval of „Zero Flighttime“
according to the highest level „D“
and has been developed for the
aircraft type Diamond DA 40/42.
With its six movement axes the
FlightSim is far ahead of traditional
motion platforms currently used for
flight simulators. The related data
base provides training for instrument
flights, VFR flight and night flights
at every airport in the world. Thus,
student pilots can be trained in
all technical and weather-related
situations.
Intralogistics
We develop, implement and integrate
special solutions for automation and
optimization of complex processes.
Handling, conveyor technology,
material flow and intralogistics are
the focus of our solutions. It also
includes high-capacity, customized
control systems and single components
for conveying and handling
tasks in different industries.
Grenzebach is known as a specialist
provider of logistic solutions for
palletizing/stacking, depalletizing,
automatic commissioning and
material conveying. The Grenzebach
product, Automated Guided Vehicle
(AGV) System organizes material
flow, reduces the logistic costs,
increases flexibility and optimizes
logistic processes – not only in
logistics centers, but wherever
material movements take place.
