CARLSBAD — The Carlsbad-
Oceanside Art League has announced
winners of its spring
membership show recently held at
the Carlsbad library.
Irving Lefson won first place in
the mixed media category for his
“Cape Sunset,” and best in show
for “Sailboat Soliloquy.”
In the watercolor category, Bonnie
Park won first place with her
“Street Scene,” and third place for
her “Eucalyptus,” Janice Burleigh
won first place for her oil painting,
“Eucalyptus Parade”.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH The work of Art guild member Marron
McDowell is being featured at the San Dieguito main gallery, 1038-B
Highway 101 in Leucadia. The San Dieguito Art Guild invites the public
to view the membership art show for the month of March.
McDowell shows works in acrylic and oil, using a contemporary design
theme with lots of color. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through
