We are in immediate need for Human Resources Coordinator for our Saskatoon<br />

location.<br />

Position: Human Resources Coordinator<br />

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION<br />

The HR Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the HR functions at site, related<br />

to; recruitment, employment, wages and benefits admin<strong>is</strong>tration, employee relations and<br />

labour law compliance.<br />

The HR Coordinator will demonstrate <strong>DMC</strong>’s core values <strong>of</strong>: Zero Harm, Respect and<br />

Integrity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and Operational Excellence.<br />

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br />

Coordinate all aspects <strong>of</strong> employment programs including; recruiting, screening,<br />

interviewing, pre-employment testing, reference checking and placement <strong>of</strong> all<br />

new employees.<br />

Coordinate and organize travel and accommodations for selected candidates,<br />

<strong>of</strong>fer letters, arrange benefit coverage and orient all new employees.<br />

Coordinate and admin<strong>is</strong>ter all employee relations activities. Adv<strong>is</strong>es management<br />

in problem resolution, accident investigation and d<strong>is</strong>ciplinary action. Responds to<br />

employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs, identifies<br />

problems and recommends appropriate courses <strong>of</strong> action the Manager <strong>of</strong> HR.<br />

Prepares and maintains all legally required personnel records and all other<br />

records and files required by the company.<br />

Prepares information and documentation related to workplace injuries in support<br />

<strong>of</strong> WSIB.<br />

Responsible for coordinating and supporting public relations functions within the<br />

community, receives and evaluates requests from individuals and organizations<br />

and makes appropriate recommendations.<br />

Participates in and attends site Safety meetings. Participates in, delivers and<br />

coordinates Superv<strong>is</strong>ory Training activities as required.<br />

Ensures that all employees in the workplace take responsibility for aspects <strong>of</strong><br />

Occupational Health and Safety, over which they have control; including<br />

adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety requirements applicable to<br />

<strong>DMC</strong>.<br />

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE<br />

A minimum <strong>of</strong> 2 years <strong>of</strong> previous experience in a similar role<br />

Excellent organizational, follow through and workload planning skills with<br />

the ability to juggle multiple priories while adhering to either hard or s<strong>of</strong>t<br />

deadlines.<br />

Good oral and written communications skills<br />

Ability to maintain a high level <strong>of</strong> confidentiality, utilize best judgment and<br />

the ability to work independently with some superv<strong>is</strong>ion.<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional, mature and d<strong>is</strong>crete in demeanour and possess tact and<br />

diplomacy.<br />

Intermediate level knowledge <strong>of</strong> Micros<strong>of</strong>t Office<br />
