Drill Team
The mild winter has taken some of us by surprise. We
have had numerous days in December and January that were
motorcycle “friendly” and although my motorcycle did not
make it out of the garage, I am sure several of you took advantage
of this unseasonable weather.
We are gearing up for the Florida Visitation and Edison
Parade in Fort Meyers, FL. The Drill Team has several riders
planning on making this trip. This will be our first parade of
the season and I am looking forward to getting back in the
saddle and even more excited with the prospects the new
Parade Season brings. I am excited, as I am sure the entire
Drill Team is, to be able to represent Murat and our Potentate,
Jerry Markovich, in 2007.
Our new Outer Guard, Jim Priest, will be honored at the
Little Pig on February 23. I will be securing tickets for this
event so the Drill Team can come and support Jim on this special
occasion. Also keep in mind the Friday Band Nights in the
Oasis Lounge; Jim has worked hard to schedule bands that
will appeal to all ages.
There is still time to turn in your reservation for the
Potentate’s Ball on March 10. The Drill Team has again been
asked to provide escort from the Hilton Hotel to Murat that
afternoon. The itinerary for this event will be posted well in
advance to allow members the opportunity to participate.
