Goes Live Thurs 19th April.... New Head chef, Tim Abbott’s, first
menu and we are really excited about this one - Brunch till 3pm
on Sundays, new hot and cold sandwiches, great line up of grazing
dishes, improved pizza, Fritto Misto and some great mains, how
about Hot Churros, cinnamon sugar and chocolate sauce for dessert,
or maybe one of the new sundaes.....Last but not least, new
biscuit and cookies section, plus a great afternoon tea line up. Sign

goes live.
Thanks to our tasters
March saw our first taster evening. We sent an invite out to our loyal
Byfordian mailing list to form a group of 16 ‘food critics’ for the night
to try the new Byfords menu. Great fun, and some great thoughts
and views were exchanged. Look out for more in the future....

loyal followers without actually taking the details of our loyal Byfordians!
Now is your chance to get something back – sign up to be a Byfordian
and we will buy you dinner the next time you come in. Cards will be given out
with the bill at the end of every meal, just fill one in and your meal is our treat
next time you visit. We want to look after our regulars a little more going forward,
and to be able to contact you to detail what’s on offer would be great.

Baking at Byfords
Sue’s back! Our very own baking queen is back to teach you
some brilliant skills in the kitchen whilst enjoying a great evening
with us. The cookery evenings include a welcome drink, bakery
demonstration, two-course evening meal, recipes from the evening
and a box of goodies to enjoy at home. The classes run from
6pm-9pm, with places at £39.95 (buy five and get the 6th free).
This year’s days are:
• Wednesday 9th May: Chocolate Treats
• Wednesday 13th June: Strawberry Fayre
• Wednesday 7th July: Beautiful Biscuits
• Wednesday 12th September: Sponge
• Wednesday 10th October: Christmas

Staff news
At the end of March we say goodbye
to Daniel (he is the rather cute looking
young man), he will continue to work
with Pat on outside catering, but he has
taken an apprenticeship in plumbing.
