Goes Live Thurs 19th April.... New Head chef, Tim Abbott’s, first<br />

menu and we are really excited about this one - Brunch till 3pm<br />

on Sundays, new hot and cold sandwiches, great line up of grazing<br />

dishes, improved pizza, Fritto Misto and some great mains, how<br />

about Hot Churros, cinnamon sugar and chocolate sauce for dessert,<br />

or maybe one of the new sundaes.....Last but not least, new<br />

biscuit and cookies section, plus a great afternoon tea line up. Sign<br />

Thanks to our tasters<br />

March saw our first taster evening. We sent an invite out to our loyal<br />

Byfordian mailing list to form a group of 16 ‘food critics’ for the night<br />

to try the new <strong>Byfords</strong> menu. Great fun, and some great thoughts<br />

and views were exchanged. Look out for more in the future....<br />

another perk of being a Byfordian!<br />

Baking at <strong>Byfords</strong><br />

Sue’s back! Our very own baking queen is back to teach you<br />

some brilliant skills in the kitchen whilst enjoying a great evening<br />

with us. The cookery evenings include a welcome drink, bakery<br />

demonstration, two-course evening meal, recipes from the evening<br />

and a box of goodies to enjoy at home. The classes run from<br />

6pm-9pm, with places at £39.95 (buy five and get the 6th free).<br />

This year’s days are:<br />

• Wednesday 9th <strong>May</strong>: Chocolate Treats<br />

• Wednesday 13th June: Strawberry Fayre<br />

• Wednesday 7th July: Beautiful Biscuits<br />

• Wednesday 12th September: Sponge<br />

Staff news<br />

At the end of March we say goodbye<br />

to Daniel (he is the rather cute looking<br />

young man), he will continue to work<br />

with Pat on outside catering, but he has<br />

taken an apprenticeship in plumbing.<br />

So <strong>Byfords</strong> loss is a u-bends gain!!<br />
