Film Industry through the inception on the Times of India Film Awards (<strong>TOIFA</strong>).<br />
The Times of India Film Awards is a global platform that celebrates the timeless magic of Hindi<br />
Cinema with fans across the world, to felicitate outstanding talent in the Hindi Film Industry, voted<br />
by the global Indian audience.<br />
Bringing cheer and joy to the cine fans, <strong>TOIFA</strong> is a global milestone in the rich and inspiring history of<br />
the Hindi Film Industry<br />
The Times of India Film Awards will be held annually at diverse international destinations, taking the<br />
charm of Hindi Cinema to the global audience and engaging with the fans.<br />
In its maiden year, these democratic film awards will be held at the breathtakingly beautiful venue of<br />
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA. The stellar event with the stalwarts of the Hindi Film<br />
Industry, will be held on 4 th - 6 th April 2013.
The Vision The Times of India Film Awards is a global IPR envisioned to be the definitive awards<br />
platform felicitating the Bollywood fraternity.<br />
The Mission The Times of India Film Awards will be held at international destinations, thus taking<br />
the charm of Bollywood to global destinations and engaging with the global Indian, south Asian<br />
communities and fans of Bollywood across the world.<br />
The Objective The Times of India Film Awards will serve to connect with the global film<br />
communities and further popularize Bollywood in international destinations and communities.<br />
The Process The Times of India Film Awards is envisioned to be popular choice awards where<br />
Bollywood fans across the world vote on the nomination categories to determine the winners of the<br />
popular choice categories.<br />
The nominations for popular choice categories would be derived from popular films during the<br />
calendar year, the process would be driven by audit partners in conjunction with <strong>TOIFA</strong> Honorary<br />
Advisory Board Members (comprising of Bollywood industry veterans and other eminent<br />
personalities).<br />
The Times of India Film Awards will be an all encompassing awards function, where technical<br />
awards are also awarded. The technical awards would be determined by the <strong>TOIFA</strong> Honorary<br />
Advisory Board Members in conjunction with audit partners.<br />
The Event The Times of India Film Awards will be held over 3-4 days (typically a weekend), where<br />
there are certain engaging activities preceding the main awards ceremony. There would also be other<br />
activities/events taking place prior to the awards weekend to promote the awards in India and at the<br />
destination/host country.<br />
