Pinterest inspires décor in new Summerwood
model home
Long before
Pinterest became
popular, builders
showcased the latest
design trends in
their decorated
model homes. With
the opening of
Taylor Morrison’s
Camden model
home in
Taylor Morrison’s new Camden model in Summerwood
is filled with features inspired by Pinterest.
Summerwood,
Pinterest and a
builder have now come together.
Filled with trending color palettes, built-ins and technology
inspired by Pinterest, the Camden is one of six decorated models
now open in the new Model Home Village in
Summerwood, a wooded community at the Sam Houston Tollway
Northeast and W. Lake Houston Parkway.
Located in the top-rated Humble ISD, Summerwood offers
new homes priced from the $170’s to $400’’s.
Pinterest-inspired features in this 3,792-square-foot model
include a color scheme of soothing blues and greens. This palette
complements the dark-stained cabinetry, another hot trend, and
both blend with the tree-filled environment of Summerwood.
A painted ceiling detail adds an unexpected design pop to the
powder room, while a backsplash of tiny glass mosaic tile enhances
a vanity in the master bath.
A freestanding craft center provides a large work surface with
knee space for sitting. Cubbyholes hold supplies and display finished
creations.
Technology features include the Smart Device charging station
– an electrical outlet with extra USB lugs. Centrally located in the
kitchen, this station can charge up to three smart devices at once
and helps reduce clutter.

Humble ISD community in
the previous quarter. The most
recent Supper Club was held at
Morton’s The Steakhouse in
the Gallleria in late April to
thank Realtors with sales in the
first quarter of 2013.

themed around one of the
