market report GL Noble Denton has
teamed up with one of the world’s most
respected research and analysis bodies, the
Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), to launch
a leading new report on the outlook for
the global oil and gas industry in 2011.
The comprehensive report, which is enti-
the Department of Labour has accredited
Germanischer Lloyd Industrial Services
DIN/EN ISO/IEC 17020.
As a recognized inspection body under
Regulation 25(2) of the Health and Safety
great demand.
ment in its development, based on a survey
of almost 200 top-level industry leaders,
including CEOs, other board-level execu-
tives and policymakers. Among a number of
key findings, the report forecasts growth in
the oil and gas sector with cautious opti-
mism. Despite concerns over tougher indus-
try regulation and increased operating costs,
the executives and policymakers surveyed
in Employment Regulations 1999 GL is now
entitled to inspect pressure equipment,
cranes, and passenger ropeways.
The authorization is based on GL’s DIN/
EN ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation. It allows for
design verification and fabrication inspection
of cranes. The authorisation is valid for
five years.
price stability, particularly in the fastgrowth
investment in the industry this year.
Commenting on the new EIU report,
John Wishart, President of GL Noble Denton,
said: “This research will help to bring clarity
to a sector that has faced significant challenges
in recent years. While it forecasts an
upturn in growth with guarded confidence,
the industry must concentrate on overcoming
significant technical challenges if the
market is to pick up dramatically.”
The report also concludes that:
Asia is an emerging market for the oil and
gas industry, for demand and supply in 2011
natural gas has appeared as a key industry
