October 2nd: Minion Day!
Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 will be
showing while your kids make crafts like:
Minion Googles, Popsicle Stick Minions, and
Minion Tongue Dispensers.
October 9th: The Wonderful World of Sports!
Space Jam and Air Bud will be the movies of
the week while your kids make: Fingerprint
Baseball, Popsicle Hockey Sticks, Tissue Paper
Basketballs, and Ping Pong with Balloons!
October 16: Carnival Night!
Crafts for the week are: Paper plate Clowns with
Pom balls, Trapeze artist, Carnival Hats, and
Masks!
October 23rd: It’s a BUG’S life!
The movies Bug’s Life and Antz will be playing
while Bug Headbands, Caterpillar Names,
Popsicle Stick Bugs, and Clothes Pin Caterpillars
are being made!
October 30th: Halloween!
Pom-Pom Candy Corn, Popsicle Stick pumpkins
and Frankenstein, Paper Plate ghosts, and
Styrofoam Spiders will be crafted while the
movies Paranorman and Hotel Transylvania are
showing!
Great activities along with other fun.

Also, as of August’s event the 2015 Player of the Year
is getting closer after each event. The top five point
earners are: Garnett Causey, Dan Strickland, Joe Neely,
Miguel Llana, Al Millon.
Thank you to all those that participated this past
month and we’ll see you in October for the “One Man
Scramble”.

The first WGA luncheon meeting of the season will be
held on Tuesday, October 20. There will be an 18 hole
tournament preceding the meeting starting at 9:00 a.m.
Be sure to sign up in the Pro Shop for the meeting and
luncheon, whether or not you play in the tournament.
On Saturday, the 24th, we will be having our annual
Great Pumpkin tournament. This is one of the most
fun and most popular of our tournaments. What we
love most is to see all the creative costumes, so gather
up a team and get busy on those fun costumes!
Some of our winter visitors have already arrived, and
more will be showing up daily. We are all ready for a
fun WGA golf season, and welcome you back.

This month at Howling Trails, Sondra Turk won 2nd
Low Net and tied for Over-all Low Net for the entire
field. She also scored a chip-in and tied for 2nd Low
Putts. She was hot, hot, hot!
October 14th we will play at Treasure Hills.
