Financial Overview
Bridges does not seek or receive federal
or state funding. In the 2014-2015 fiscal
year, our income was received from one
annual appeal, the Brown Bag Bash
(a fundraising event), foundation grants,
individual donors, matching gifts, and
interest income.
Donations: Bridges received and distributed donations
of more than 63,000 brown bag meals including 13,000
sustainable lunches, 2,500 seasonal items including coats,
boots, pajamas and toys for sheltered children. Literally
tons of donated clothing were also distributed. Our donors
include groups from houses of worship, clubs, schools,
corporations, and individuals. Through careful inventory of
our distribution, we estimate the value of these donations to
be $529,808.
Overhead: Administration and fundraising are 11.8% of our
overall expenses.
