DAY 1, SUNDAY, APT PULA/APT VENICE/APT TRISTE – ROVINJ/<br />
POREC:<br />
Arrival at Pula airport. Meeting with the tour guide and transfer<br />
to the hotel in Rovinj, famous for it’s location at the Croatian Cote<br />
d’Azur. It boasts beautiful beaches, promenade and luscious green<br />
surroundings in general. The Istrian peninsula on the other hand<br />
offers immense gastronomic pleasures and possibilities of active<br />
holidays through its hiking, biking and similar programs that will<br />
enrich your experience in this <strong>we</strong>ll-preserved historical and cultural<br />
environment.<br />
Check-in at the hotel and the rest of the afternoon free at leisure.<br />

DAY 2, MONDAY, ROVINJ/POREC – BUZET – MOTOVUN –<br />
GROZNJAN – ROVINJ/POREC:<br />
A day, dedicated to truffles – an extraordinary and special local<br />
treasure! If you wish, you may take part in the trill of searching<br />
and possibly finding this hidden treasure in the woods of Istrian<br />
inland. We will continue the journey towards Motovun – a medieval<br />
town established on the site of an ancient city called Kastelijer<br />
and famous for its film festival with unique recognisability among<br />
the moviemakers and movie appreciators. We will take a break<br />
in a local restaurant with delicious homemade local specialities.<br />
(OPTIONAL) Our next stop will be a small and cosy town of<br />
Groznjan, known for its t<strong>we</strong>nty galleries and art studios, the<br />
summer international film school and the International Cultural<br />
Centre of Croatian Musical Youth. Return to Rovinj/Porec. Free time<br />
for dinner. Overnight stay in the hotel.<br />
DAY 3, TUESDAY, ROVINJ/POREC – VODNJAN – PULA – BALE -<br />
ROVINJ/POREC:<br />
A whole day devoted to enjoyment – the tasting of most<br />
representative products from Istria: wine, prosciutto, cheese and<br />
olive oil. We will start in Vodnjan with prosciutto and wine tasting,<br />
have a peek at olive field and experience olive oil tasting. After this<br />
<strong>we</strong> will continue with sightseeing of one of most ancient cities of<br />
the region with rich history of more than 3000 years – Pula, famous<br />
for one of the most preserved amphitheatres in the world. We will<br />
continue to explore the taste of Istria and end our Istrian delicious<br />
tour in Bale for more olive oil and wine tasting. We will return<br />
trough the Lim channel – a site, known for production of delicious<br />
oysters. Possible tasting in the Lim fjord (depending on the season<br />
of program realisation). Return to Rovinj/Porec. Overnight.<br />
DAY 4, WEDNESDAY, POREČ COUNTY:<br />
A day, spent in Poreč County – starting with a visit to Euphrasian<br />
Basilica - one of Istria’s biggest producers of wine, olive oil and<br />
cheese. We will visit the plantations of this recognised and<br />
awarded producer to get acquainted with and enjoy its worldwide<br />
known products. Return to the hotel to enjoy the rest of the day<br />
in the facilities of the hotel. Overnight.<br />
DAY 5, THURSDAY, ROVINJ/POREC – NP BRIJUNI – ROVINJ/<br />
POREC<br />
A visit to the only national park of Istran region – Briuni islands,<br />
where the most famous historical figure of ex-Yugoslavia, Marshal<br />
Tito, used to have a summer residence. The story tells: The Maker<br />
intended to shape a part of the Earth to the image of Heaven.<br />
That is how Istria came into being, like a garden covered with<br />
magnificent trees and vast meadows, washed by the deep blue sea,<br />
appealing people to a happier life. But the jealous devil destroyed<br />
his work by tearing the bag in which the angel was carrying the<br />
unused stones. Thousands of rocks scattered around the Istrian<br />
land making it a land of contrasts, gentle and rough, fertile and<br />
barren, sunny and cloudy. The desolated angels gathered the<br />
pieces of Heaven remaining among the scattered rocks and<br />
protected them by the sea waves and <strong>create</strong>d Brijuni*. Return to<br />
Rovinj. Overnight. *National park Brijuni<br />
DAY 6, FRIDAY, ROVINJ/POREC – POSTOJNA CAVES – PREDJAMA<br />
CASTLE - ROVINJ/POREC<br />
Breakfast. Today <strong>we</strong> will step outside of Croatian borders and<br />
visit one of the most popular caves in the world – Postojna caves.<br />
It boasts a fantastic <strong>we</strong>b of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls,<br />
with astonishing diversity of Karst features, and easy access. All<br />
those are certainly main reasons for such popularity of the cave<br />
and a large number of visitors, since it has already been visited<br />
by 36 million in 200 years. In continuation <strong>we</strong> will hear the story<br />
of the Slovenian Robin Hood – Erazem of Predjama, who lived in<br />
Renaissance castle built within the cave system, that today present<br />
one of must see highlights of Slovenia. Return to Rovinj/Porec.<br />
Overnight.<br />
DAY 7, SATURDAY, ROVINJ/POREC – APT PULA/APT VENICE/APT<br />
TRISTE<br />
Breakfast. At the required time, transfer to Venice airport for your<br />
check-in for your flight back home.<br />
