. . . important features Requirements for room air conditioning systems for indoor pools (VDI-2089): Comfort for guests and staff: • Temperature regulation depending on pool water temperature • Fresh air exchange • Removal of aromatic and harmful substances (chlorine / trihalogen methane concentration) • Optimal hygienic conditions • Prevention of fungal growth • Mold prevention Building protection against structural damage: • Prevention of dew points on wall and ceiling elements • Prevention of corrosion caused by excessive humidity • Prevention of excessive steam diffusion Energy consumption / energy recovery / energy management • Indoor pools are among the most energy intensive buildings.
