4. The naturopathic physician is obligated to keep up with <strong>the</strong> changes in medicine.<br />
This may be accomplished through:<br />
a. Continuing education seminars, preceptorships, post graduate study, internships<br />
or residency programs (see education section VI A).<br />
b. In <strong>the</strong> event physicians belongs to a specialty society, <strong>the</strong>y are obligated to<br />
maintain <strong>the</strong> standards <strong>of</strong> education set by <strong>the</strong> society.<br />
5. <strong>Naturopathic</strong> physicians have an obligation to critically and without bias evaluate new<br />
<strong>the</strong>rapeutic agents and methods which may be <strong>of</strong> benefit to <strong>the</strong>ir patients.<br />
6. <strong>Naturopathic</strong> physicians are encouraged to continually evolve <strong>the</strong>ir manner <strong>of</strong> practice<br />
<strong>of</strong> health care to provide increased benefit to <strong>the</strong>ir patients.<br />
E. A <strong>Naturopathic</strong> physician’s role:<br />
A naturopathic physician is trained to be a primary care family practice physician. Individual<br />
physicians may choose to specialize in certain methods, modalities or areas <strong>of</strong> practice within <strong>the</strong><br />
