Pharmacy:<br />
The Institute has a well-equipped<br />
Pharmacy manufacturing medicines<br />
required for IPD and OPD and also<br />
for PG and Ph.D. Research. During<br />
the period under report, the<br />
Pharmacy Manufactured 189 types<br />
of Medicines worth around Rs. 65.57<br />
Lakhs.<br />
Library:<br />
Library of the Institute is presently<br />
functioning in the Academic Block<br />
and will be shifted to a new 4-storey<br />
building which is in the final stage of<br />
finishing.<br />

National Institute of Homoeopathy<br />
was established on 10th December<br />
1975 in Kolkata as an autonomous<br />
institution under the Ministry of<br />
Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of<br />
India. The Institute imparts<br />
education in Homeopathy serving as<br />
a model institution for other schools<br />
across the country. The Institute was<br />
affiliated to the University of Calcutta<br />
up to session 2003-04 and from<br />
2004-05 has been affiliated to the<br />
West Bengal University of Health<br />
Sciences, Kolkata.<br />
6.2.2 MISSION OF NIH<br />
The mission of National Institute of<br />
Homoeopathy is to foster excellence<br />
in Homoeopathic Medical Education<br />
and Research, to educate and train<br />
undergraduate, post graduate<br />
students and research scholars of<br />
homoeopathy in accordance with<br />
highest professional standards and<br />
ethical values unfettered by the<br />
barriers of nationality, language,<br />
culture, plurality, religion and to<br />
meet the healthcare needs of the<br />
community through dissemination<br />
of knowledge and service.<br />
