ABOVE & BELOW: HAIR
& MAKE-UP BY SARAH CASE
Your hair and make-up artists can only
work with what you present them with,
so start your pre-wedding beauty
regime as soon as you’ve set the date.
You are what you eat, so eat properly, make
sure you get your five portions a day of fruit
and vegetables and drink plenty of water.
Set aside a night a week to pamper yourself.
Thoroughly cleanse, tone and moisturise your
face, using an exfoliator to clear away the dead
skin cells. Soak in a relaxing bath and use a
body brush or scrub. Wash your hair in a
good shampoo and, if necessary, give it a
conditioning treatment.
Give yourself a pedicure and a manicure. And
moisturise!
Once you’ve chosen your perfume for the big
day, treat yourself to all the accessories. Soap
or gel, body lotion, talc and deodorant with the
same scent layers the perfume on your skin
and ensures your fragrance lasts the whole day.
And on the big day, give your Mum or chief
bridesmaid your perfume, powder, lipstick and
a small can of hairspray to carry with them so
you can make any minor repairs necessary.
