HPO GLOBAL ALLIANCE THINK TANKS
One aspect of our mission at the HPO Global Alliance is to advance
the principles, research insights, and practical applications
that can elevate an organization’s performance. Accordingly, we
are organizing some collaborative Think Tank sessions as one of
our priorities.
This Think Tank session will address a significant issue in
today’s global marketplace – Moving Virtual Teams To High
Performance. This session will take place February 8-9,
2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We are assembling a small, select group of experts and professionals
who have significant experience with virtual teams.
We invite you to join us and to share your
perspectives, ideas, and experiences with a
small group of seasoned peers who are on
the same path.
Also joining us in the session will be Tom and Joy Guthrie, facilitators
from Vizwerx, to stimulate our creative thinking, group
synergy, and visualization (see sample below). In our time together
we will identify some critical issues for developing high performance,
develop some tools and approaches to improve things,
and publish documents to record our learning.
SESSION AGENDA
In this session we will address such issues as:
• Selecting people with the right attributes to be successful
virtual team players
• Key factors that “bind together” team members and
leadership
• How managers add value to virtual teams – and what they
need to do to move teams to high performance
• Systems, technologies, and other tools that can foster high
performance
• Effective, transparent communication between all team
members
• Converting creativity, flexibility, and expertise into continuous
improvement and superior customer value
• Other key issues identified by the group
CONCRETE OUTPUTS
We anticipate the key takeaways from the session to include:
• Defining possible new research to be done on virtual
team high performance
• Testing any new tools or approaches in our own organizations
and reporting back to the group on results.
• Publishing a whitepaper and visual products from the session
to enable you to roll out key learnings more rapidly
back home
