A2 motorway. Extensive parking facilities
are available. Maastricht is 210 km from
Amsterdam, 120 km from Brussels, 110

By train
The MECC is a 5-minute drive from
Maastricht Central Station (for free
shuttle service see www.tefaf.com) and a
4-minute walk from Maastricht Randwyck
Station. Paris to Maastricht in under three
hours? Thalys has regular services from
Paris-Nord to Liège-Guillemins offering a

TEFAF MAASTRICHT 2008
Setting the standard for all others
TEFAF Maastricht has become recognised as the worlds
leading art and antiques fair. As a consequence it now attracts
over 215 of the most eminent international dealers from 15
countries. It will open its doors in 2008 from March 7th to the
16th in a spacious and elegantly designed exhibition area at
the MECC (Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre).
Exceptional range and superb quality
The diversity of exquisite pieces on offer at TEFAF Maastricht
is beyond comparison. Though the Fair built its reputation with
Flemish and Dutch Masters, today, Italian Spanish, French,
German and English old master paintings of the highest quality
are also well represented.
Over the last eight years the fair has become an increasingly
important venue for modern and contemporary art. Over 40
prestigious modern art dealers from 9 countries now come
together to show one of the greatest cross sections of 20thcentury
European and American art.
Artists represented include Picasso, Matisse, Miro, Dufy,
Calder, Poliakoff, Schiele, Kandinsky, Pollock, De Kooning,
Rothko and contemporary artists such as Richter, Flanagan,
Tapies and Toko Shinoda.
In addition, there is a dazzling choice of medieval manuscripts,
maps and coins, as well as French, English and Italian furniture.
Classical antiquities and Egyptian works of art, Asian, African
Oceanic and South American objects are all well represented,
as are porcelain, silver, jewellery and 20th-century furniture.
For directors and curators of major museums, as well as
private collectors from around the world, a visit to TEFAF
offers the opportunity to acquire some of the fi nest works
still in private hands.

The City of Maastricht
Home of the Fair for over 30 years, Maastricht is a Roman city,
founded in the 1st century BC. This historic town has picturesque
