Revelation & the Feast of Purim
We find an incredible amount of duplication:
2 lists of the kings servants:
Esther 1:10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with
wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha,
Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of
Ahasuerus the king,
Esther 1:14 And the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha,
Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and
Media, which saw the king's face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)
Notes
2 reports of Esther’s hidden identity:
Esther 2:10 Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai
had charged her that she should not shew it.
Esther 2:20 Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as
Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai,
like as when she was brought up with him.
2 houses for the women:
Esther 2:14 In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into
the second house of the women,
2 gatherings of the women:
Esther 2:19 And when the virgins were gathered together the second
time, then Mordecai sat in the king's gate.
2 unscheduled appearances before the king:
Esther 5:2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the
court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther
the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched
the top of the sceptre.
Esther 8:3-4 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his
feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the
Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews. Then the king
held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before
the king,
Twice Haman’s head covered:
Esther 6:12-13 And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman
hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. Then said the
king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word
went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
Revelation & the Feast of Purim
Two references to the death of Haman’s sons:
Esther 9:10 The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the
Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
Notes
Esther 9:13 Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews
which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day's decree,
and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
Could the doublets be a hint to a second occurrence?
We must also realize the timeframe historically.
Nehemiah 1:1-3 The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to
pass in the month Kislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,
That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I
asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the
captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. And they said unto me, The remnant that
are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and
reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof
are burned with fire.
Neheniah 2:19-20 But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant,
the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn,
and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against
the king? Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he
will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no
portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
The faithful remnant who was rebuilding the temple also faced the death
penalty under Haman’s plot!
Genesis 14:7 And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is Kadesh,
and smote all the country of the Amalekites,
qlme
The second time Amalek appears is when he is born in
Genesis 36:12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she
bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
qlme
From the first e of Amalek in Gen 14 to the last letter of Amalek q in Genesis
36:12 the second time it appears there are 12,110 letters in the Torah. Which
just so happens is the exact number of Hebrew letters in the book of Esther!
Revelation & the Feast of Purim
Also not only Amalek appears prophetically before his birth, Agag appears 400
years before his birth!
Numbers 24:7 He shall pour the water out of his buckets and his seed shall be
in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall
be exalted.
Notes
Cyrus also was mentioned 100 years before his birth:
Isaiah 45:1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I
have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings,
to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
He was the one who would allow the rebuilding of the temple!
So was Josiah several hundred years before!
1Kings 13:2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said,
O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the
house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of
the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt
upon thee.
And he returned the people to Torah!
2Kings 23:22-24 Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of
the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of
the kings of Judah; But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this
passover was holden to the LORD in Jerusalem. Moreover the workers with
familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the
abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did
Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were
written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.
Exodus 17:7-8 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah,
because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the
LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not? Then came Amalek, and fought
with Israel in Rephidim.
Exodus 17:13-16 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the
edge of the sword. And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial
in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the
remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and
called the name of it Jehovahnissi: For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn
that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
In every generation there is an Amalek who wants to destroy Israel.
Psalms 83:3-8 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and
consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them
off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in
remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are
confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of
Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek;
Notes
Deuteronomy 25:17-19 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way,
when ye were come forth out of Egypt; How he met thee by the way, and
smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when
thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God. Therefore it shall be, when
the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in
the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it,
that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven;
thou shalt not forget it.
Genesis 38:29 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his
brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be
upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.
Ruth 4:18-22 Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,And Amminadab begat
Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz
begat Obed, And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.
Deuteronomy 31:16-18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt
sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the
gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will
forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. Then my
anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I
will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and
troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils
come upon us, because our God is not among us? And I will surely hide my
face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they
are turned unto other gods.
1 Samuel 15:1-3 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee
to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the
voice of the words of the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember
that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he
came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek,
1 Samuel 15:9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the
sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was
good, and would not utterly destroy them: but everything that was vile and
refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
Notes
1 Samuel 15:13-14 And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed
be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD. And
Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and
the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
1 Samuel 15:15 And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites:
for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto
the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
1 Samuel 15:19-21 Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the
LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD? And
Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have
gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of
Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of
the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been
utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.
1 Samuel 15:24-25 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have
transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I
feared the people, and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon
my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD.
1 Samuel 15:30 Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee,
before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me,
that I may worship the LORD thy God.
#7136. hrq qarah,
to light upon (chiefly by accident); happenstance
Notes
In “Esther” God is mocking Amalek saying, “Yeah right”
It just so “happens” A Jew becomes queen
It just so “happens” Mordechai hears of a plot to kill the king in a foreign
language
It just so “happens” the king can’t sleep
It just so “happens” he wants a book read
It just so “happens” he turns to the very page of Mordechai’s saving his life
It just so “happens” in the middle of the night Haman walks in
It just so “happens” the king walks in and sees Haman on the bed
It just so “happens” the gallows for Mordechai just got finished
1Samuel 10:21 When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by
their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was
taken:
Now what do we find 500 years later?!!!!
Esther 2:5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name
was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;
Esther 3:10 And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman
the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' enemy.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that
which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the
sun.
Revelations 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise
up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten
crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Psalms 74:14 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to
be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
Job 41:1,34 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? He beholdeth all
high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
Leviathan is Satan/antichrist. Haman was full of pride and wanted to be
exalted! He had 10 sons!
Esther 1:1-3 Now it came about in the days of Ahasuerus, (that Ahasuerus
who was ruler of a hundred and twenty-seven divisions of the kingdom, from
India as far as Ethiopia:)That in those days, when King Ahasuerus was ruling in
Shushan, his strong town, In the third year of his rule he gave a feast….
Notes
Vashti is dethroned and the choosing of a new Queen begins. How long before
Esther appear before him?
Esther 2:8 So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree
was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan
the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was taken also unto the king's
house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
Esther 2:16 So Esther was taken in to King Ahasuerus in his house in the tenth
month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his rule.
Esther will be Queen over 4 years and Mordechai’s will have been in office
over 12 years and no one knew they are Jewish?! Total assimilation!!
Esther 3:2-6 And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed,
and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But
Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence. Then the king's servants, which
were in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king's
commandment? Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and
he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether
Mordecai's matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.
And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then
was Haman full of wrath. And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai
alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman
sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of
Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai. (Abomination of Desolation)
Esther 3:7 In the first month, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of King
Ahasuerus, from day to day and from month to month they went on looking
for a sign given by Pur (that is chance) before Haman, till the sign came out
for the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar.
Esther 3:12 Then on the thirteenth day of the first month, the king's scribes
were sent for, and they put in writing Haman's orders…..
Passover
Esther 4:15-16 Then Esther sent them back to Mordecai with this answer: Go,
get together all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and go without food for
me, taking no food or drink night or day for three days:
Esther 5:1 Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal
robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, across from the king's
house,
Notes
Esther 6:11-13 Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed
Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and
proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king
delighteth to honour. And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But
Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. And
Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had befallen
him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of
the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not
prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
Esther 7:1-6 So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.
And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of
wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and
what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the
kingdom. Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in
thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my
petition, and my people at my request: For we are sold, I and my people, to
be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen
and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not
countervail the king's damage. Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said
unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his
heart to do so? And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked
Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
Esther 9:11-12 On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan
the palace was brought before the king. And the king said unto Esther the
queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the
palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the
king's provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or
what is thy request further? and it shall be done.
Esther 9:13-14 Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the
Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day's
decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows. And the king
commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they
hanged Haman's ten sons.
