empathize and relate to a culture and a<br />
lifestyle that is different from theirs.<br />
Despite the social, economic, and religious<br />
differences, I hope my lens is the conduit in<br />
which people can discover that we are<br />
uniquely similar and allow the bond of<br />
humanity to bring us closer together. When<br />
the aforementioned occurs, it allows the<br />
Soldier a way of escaping the hardships of war<br />
and brings them to a place of familiarity.
