Meadow Prospect Grant<br />

Meadow Prospect grants are awarded to<br />

initiatives that:<br />

• Make a difference in the community<br />

• Support learning and development<br />

projects, improving employment<br />

• Offer sporting opportunities to<br />

young people and other groups in<br />

disadvantaged areas<br />

• Tackle health and wellbeing projects<br />

such as healthy eating, substance<br />

misuse etc<br />

• Tackle renewable energy and/or<br />

address fuel poverty<br />

• Assist new social enterprises to<br />

become established and offer<br />

employment opportunities.<br />

Tower Fund Grants<br />

The Tower Fund is a pot of money<br />

available to the communities of Hirwaun,<br />

Penderyn, Rhigos and Penywaun in<br />

the Cynon valley. The fund supports<br />

community projects – from social<br />

enterprises, ‘green’ energy schemes and<br />

training opportunities to youth projects.<br />

As part of it’s commitment to support<br />

other former mining communities in South<br />

Wales, there is also the ‘Common Fund’.<br />
