meadow prospect transforming your community Meadow Prospect is the charitable arm of RCT Homes, Wales’ largest social landlord and winner of Business in the Community ‘Responsible Large Business of the Year’ 2014 Award, which received reaccreditation in 2015. Meadow Prospect delivers regeneration projects that complement the organisation’s community enhancing goals by working with partner organisations to deliver projects, which support three core objectives: • Community capacity building projects including youth work and supported employment programmes • Community-based renewable energy projects. • Social enterprise development. We seek to achieve these priorities through a mix of match funded grant programmes. We work collaboratively with our responsible business partners to help them achieve their RB targets. We have developed our own social enterprise Grow Enterprise Wales (GrEW), which has given valuable work experience and accredited training to over 1,600 people to date. Meadow Prospect Board Don Snow (Chair) Lynda Sagona (Vice Chair) Neil Snowden Simon Harris Andrew Lycett Malcolm Wilson Funding Meadow Prospect is funded by donations from RCT Homes' bank and supply chain partners as part of the Planned Maintenance Programme. In 2014/15 it received over £58,000 worth of donations from supply chain partners, which are predominantly local businesses and SMEs. They have agreed to contribute a proportion of the value of their materials supplied to Meadow Prospect. At the end of the financial year, Meadow Prospect also received a charitable donation of £150,000 from Homeforce, the Group's trading company. In using this money, Meadow Prospect has made a significant contribution to the social and economic regeneration of the Rhondda Cynon Taff area and this report outlines some of the projects it has been involved with over the past 12 months. Meadow Prospect also seeks matchfunding from Welsh and Central Government and other charitable institutions and the private sector. Meadow Prospect also manages the Tower Fund on the behalf of Tower Colliery. This fund was set up in 2011 to provide help to four communities in the north of Rhondda Cynon Taff, where Tower has traditionally drawn its labour from.
