QUICKBOOKS I. This course covers the basics of setting up a company, 

creating customers, receiving payments, and making deposits into 

your bank accounts. We will work with and create vendors and paying 

bills, create and edit a chart of accounts, run reports, and reconcile

QUICKBOOKS II. This course covers creating inventory, dealing with 

items, and adjusting inventory counts. Learn about Sales Tax and 

Sales Tax groups, paying your sales tax, running payroll, and paying 

your payroll liabilities. We’ll create capital assets and utilize the 

Loan Manager, generating an amortization schedule. Discuss dealing

BASIC COMPUTER I. This class is all about the basics. Topics will 

include beginning computer skills including powering the computer

COMPUTER SECURITY AND TROUBLESHOOTING. Computer security

estate planning and beginning farmer programs. It is intended to be 

useful for established farm and ranch owners, for their successors and for 

beginners. Topics include: the stages of succession planning, contribution 

& compensation, balancing the interests of on-farm and off-farm heirs; 

the importance of communication, setting goals, analyzing cash flow, and 

balancing intergenerational expectations and needs; beginning farmer 

loan and tax credit programs; the use of trusts, wills, life estate deeds and 

business entities (such as the limited liability company) in family estate 

and business succession planning; buy-sell agreements, asset protection, 

taxation (federal transfer taxes, Nebraska inheritance tax, basis adjustment) 

and essential estate documents.
