M A IN DISH
On Thanksgiving, most of the time I spend the
evening eating with family members I haven't seen in
awhile or just don?t know at all. I don?t like
Thanksgiving Day because of the reason that I don?t
really spend the day with with my family. Last
Thanksgiving, I went over my cousin?s house to eat. I
didn't know anyone there and they seem to not know
me either. Half of the time I was sitting down texting
and minding my business since I had no else to talk to.
I could smell the delightful food cooking in the kitchen
all the way from the living room I just wanted to eat,
leave and go shopping on Black Friday.
When it was finally, time to eat I sat between my
brother and sisters. My eyes first landed on the juicy
meat sitting on the table. It tasted exactly how it
looked....delicious. Griot makes my frown turn upside
down. The first thing I reached for was griot and filled
half of my plate with it. It was crunchy on the outside,
but chewy in the inside. My cousins perfectly cooked
the griot and it made my tongue buds dance. I knew I
was definitely talking some to go. The griot my
cousins made was the best I ever had. I ended up
eating the griot the next day for breakfast.
