Heart of <strong>Vilas</strong> <strong>County</strong> Paved Bike Trail System, a nearly<br />
50-mile trail, St. Germain is also home to Wisconsin’s<br />
largest snowmobile club, which maintains the state’s<br />
best snowmobile trails! Visit the St. Germain Golf Course,<br />
carved into a dense forest. Bring your binoculars to see<br />

Winchester, located in the northwest corner of <strong>Vilas</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong>, encompasses over 34,000 acres and 63 lakes.<br />
Almost 80 percent of the town’s area is wooded with<br />
more than 6,000 acres of public land as part of the<br />
Northern-Highland American Legion State Forest. A<br />
small community most of the year, our area is perfect<br />
for summer activities like fi shing, boating, biking and<br />
hiking. Winter sports such as skiing, snowmobiling and<br />
snowshoeing are also popular. Our newly renovated<br />
school building houses a community area, the Winchester<br />
