Change—sometimes it’s a good
thing, sometimes not. But in the restaurant
business, most of the time customers welcome
a change in the form of a new menu,
because it gives them new tastes to sample.
Bay House Restaurant,
that beautiful setting overlooking
the sea at Dickenson Bay, has
recently introduced a new Deck
Menu that has a number of significant
additions which are sure
to intrigue anyone looking for a
change. During the month of
June, the restaurant is offering a
little added incentive to stop by and see the
new menu—a complimentary drink with
any meal purchased.
The build-up to Carnival features
a lot of fetes, most of them geared toward
young revelers who like the loud pounding
music and excess. But what about older
folks who love to have a good “wine” but not
a lot of the crazy going-ons, who enjoy
music they can dance to and want an
upscale event where they can feel comfortable
and lime with friends?
Now they have the WINE Fete,
dubbed “The Ultimate Wine and Dance
Experience,” to be held on 11 June at the
President’s Suite at the Sir Vivian Richards
Cricket Stadium. Featured entertainment
is the Laviscount Brass, a band known for
its straight up and eminently danceable
music. Dance Commander for the evening
is well-known Observer Radio personality
Serpent, who has extensive knowledge of
Calypso and Soca as well as a personality
that gets everyone moving.
According to organizer Dotsie
Isaac Gellizeau, the idea came out of her
sister D. Gisele Isaac’s 50th birthday party,

kept some of the
favorite entrees,
starters and salads,
they have added several
new categories of choices. These
include home-made deep dish savoury
pies and jacket (or baked) potatoes filled

In addition, they have expanded
their sandwich selection by offering a bread
choice of either ciabbata loaf or paninis,
which are lightly grilled on a special
panini press. On the light
side, there is a wide selection of
wraps, including a luscious lob-
ster and pineapple in a creamy
dressing. Their burger menu is
also a tempting, with traditional
beef, chicken, Philly steak, fish or
veggie options.
The Deck Menu is available
from lunch to 10:30 p.m. In addition,
Bay House offers their regular fine dining
ala carte menu for dinner.

This fete is truly all-inclusive, with
a sumptuous spread of food and sweets as
well as wine bar from C&C Wine House,
specializing in South African wines. Tickets
are EC$125 per person, and can be purchased
at the Digicel main office in Royal
Palm Plaza, C&C Wine House, or
Evolution. The organizers are encouraging
people to purchase tickets early, since the
capacity of the venue is only 550 people.
