Cyanoacrylate - Technical Information 


Cyanoacrylate Adhesive (Rapid Glue) 

Cyanoacrylate Adhesive is used for many applications in the interior construction business, such as the kitchen worktop 

industry. It shows excellent performance in the quick bonding and reinforcing of wood and foam underneath composite 

countertops. 

Advantages 

• Solvent free 

• Easy to use 

• High temperature range up to 120 degrees Celsius 

• Resistant to temperature changes and climate changes 

• Good bonding on non porous materials 

• Good ageing 

• Fast curing on epdm rubber

MS Polymer

MS Polymer 

mS Polymer is a new generation, fast 

Curing, one part, moisture-curing modified 

hybrid polymer adhesive which is 

neutral curing and with low odour. The 

adhesive retains some flexibility after 

curing and offers excellent adhesion to 

most common building materials. 

mS Polymer achieves outstanding bonding 

and sealing properties combined 

with ease of use. 

Being elastomeric it can be used on 

adhesive applications that are subject to 

movement, impact and shock. Typical 

applications include: 

container, caravans, coaches, ventilation, 

ducting, storage tanks, boat building 

and repair, electrical. 

Advantages 

• Excellent bonding on most 

substrates. 

• Chemically neutral, fragrance free 

and no solvent. 

Storage 

Store between 5°C and 25°C in dry 

conditions. 

Shelf life is approximately 12 months 

in original packaging. 

Limitations 

Do not use in submerged joints.

Surface Preparation 

Surfaces can be damp but not running wet, they must be clean, free from dirt, grease 

and other contamination. 

The product offers good adhesion to a wide range of materials but where adhesion is 

particularly important two primers are available for porous and non-porous substrates. 

Application 

Cut of the end of the cartridge with a sharp knife, avoiding damage to the thread. 

Cut nozzle to desired size or angle and screw onto the cartridge. Fit cartridge into the 

dispensing gun. Apply the adhesive firmly into the prepared joint by applying an even 

pressure to the gun trigger. Ensure good contact to joint surfaces by preparing the joint. 

Strike off any excess adhesive flush with the surface within 20 minutes of application. 

Clamping and/or support may be required until adhesive cure is sufficiently advanced to 

be self supporting. Where necessary the joint edges can be masked to prevent contamination 

of adjacent surfaces and ensure a neat bond line. When applying surface coating 

best results are obtained applying wet on wet and within 4 hours. Thereafter cleaning 

with acetone, joints can be painted at any time.

Silicon Sealant 

Silicon Sealant is a 1-component 

elastic neutrally solving sealant on 

alkoxy-base. 

This product is suitable for filling 

substrates such as marble, granite and 

composite stone to a maximum of 

15-20 mm. You can use this product 

inside and outside. There will be no 

spots or blemishes at the edge of 

the sealant on natural stone, because 

there is no migration of the plasticizing 

agents.
