no planeados.
licenciatura ciclo escolar 2012-2013. Se seleccionaron dos spots
publicitarios “Lo decimos todos” y “Prueba Perinatal VIH
SIDA”.
publicitarias.
Abstract
In recent years an increase in youth sexual activity has
occurred, leading to increased risk pregnancies and sexually
transmitted infections (STIs). In Mexico, several studies show
that a significant proportion of adolescents and young people
practice sex exposing themselves to sexually transmitted
infections and unplanned pregnancies. Other reports indicate
that more than 2 million pregnancies occur in women with HIV
worldwide and 590,000 children each year become infected
with HIV through their mothers. Health authorities in Mexico
have programs to prevent sexual risk behaviors and modify
such practices. The objective of this study is to describe the
practices of students from the Autonomous University of
Yucatan (abattoir) about contraceptive use and its relationship
with two commercials. The study, cross-sectional, included
undergraduates 2012-2013 school year. Two advertising spots
"We say it all" and "Perinatal HIV AIDS test" were selected.
41.3% were sexually active; of all men 50% of all women and
33%. Being male is associated with being sexually active.
There is a need to take into account other variables that produce
effect on advertising campaigns.
