(SMC) hanged herself at
her house, on Wednesday
night. Family members

Nirmala Solanki, 54,
a resident of Honey Park
Road in Adajan was
found dead in her room on
Wednesday night. Nirmala’s
husband Manilal spotted
her body hanging and
immediately informed
other family members.
They rushed her to nearby
private hospital, where
she was declared dead.

school authorities.
Allegations have been
made against Parvez Ansari,
a teacher posted at

Surat on Friday, saying a
conditional compromise
formula with the government
was on the cards.
“The news of a compromise
between the Patel
community and the government,
which has been
gaining ground over the
past few days, is true. We
are ready to compromise
and will definitely come
out with a proper formula
for the same.”
However, Hardik’s
father, Bharat Patel, denied
his son had made
any such statement. “It
could be a misinterpretation
of Hardik’s statement.
He never said such
things and the agitation
will continue at the same
pace until the reservation
issue is sorted out.”
Hardik’s latest statement
has surprised
PAAS members and the
Patel community too,
especially since only a
few days ago Hardik had
written to the CM, stating
he would continue
the fight for reservation.
Nonetheless, PAAS
leaders also seem inclined
for negotiations.
A convenor of PAAS and
spokesperson Harikesh
Patel said, “On the personal
front, I am ready
for talks with the government.
It is necessary
also. I cannot say this on
behalf of PAAS as we
need to take the consent
of other convenors of the
organisation and that will
take place soon.” Meanwhile,
softening their
stance, Visnagar police
did not seek further remand
of Hardik, who
was sent back to Surat
jail.
In an exclusive report

was preparing for
negotiations with Hardik
Patel and PAAS. It was
learnt from a well-placed
source in the government
that the compromise formula
was ready. Patel
and other PAAS leaders
would be freed as part of
