Behind the German cemetery of La Cambe, discover
the Vergers de Romilly. Throughout the visit,
the history of cider-making, the various methods of
growing apple trees and making cider, Pommeau
and Calvados will be presented to you. You will be
charmed by the Calvados spirit house with its old
oak casks and, after the visit, you will be able to taste
one of our products and make some purchases.

The tour starts by a presentation of the orchards, the
press, the tank fermentation room, the bottle fermentation
room. It continues by the barrel ageing cellars
where you can see Calvados and Pommeau casks.
Calvados & Cidre Lecornu
100m from the cathedral, in the heart of the
historic centre of Bayeux, François Lecornu,
owner-producer, offers you the opportunity to
taste and buy his brut and semi-brut ciders,
AOC Calvados, aperitifs, apple juice and
apple jelly. All the products come from our
own orchards and are organically farmed (9
ha around Bayeux). Shop on Place Charles
de Gaulle near the Sous-Préfecture. Special
reserve Calvados 12 years of age.

In its 18 th century farm buildings, the Cidrerie
VIARD, situated in Guéron, 3 km from
Bayeux, has been producing cider following
tradition with apples from Normandy. During
the guided tour, you will discover all the
stages involved in making «Bayeux» cider:
orchards, cellars, processing room. Tasting
and sales point for Bayeux” corked cider,
poiré, apple juice, cider vinegar, apple jelly,
pommeau and Calvados.
